Once upon this is a dangerous disease. It used to grow inside our body and at once it used to attack our skin. According the generation and technology we have controlled this problem.
A small spot starts on the skin. It starts from nose till the jaws; finally it looks like butterfily.These will be in red in color. This is the symptom for a big change in body. Due to this the joints, kidneys, heart, lungs, brain, blood cells like this it occupies whole body. It damages few main parts of our body. This disease name is Lupus. The biological name is systemic lupus erythematosus. Especially women should need to know about this disease and should know how to be alert.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), this name represents only one disease problem that is known as Lupus. In Latin language Lupus means Fox. If we have not taken correct treatment for this disease then later it will spread whole face and finally these spots looks like fox. That means from butterfly it will change to fox. That’s why Lupus name is given to this disease. Now we can get rid of this disease before and at the starting itself.
Lupus is auto immune disease. The disease healing power by mistake attacks cells, muscles and organs. Why the disease healing power acts against to us? For this question there is no exact answer found. But Lupus disease problem is mostly seen in women. Even it attacks men and children also, but more in women. 20% sufferers of this disease are mostly children. When we go out in hot sun then due to the sun rays, rashes occur on our jaws. This Spread on the nose and both sides of nose. Finally it looks like Butterfly. That’s why it is known as butterfly rash. Not only on jaws, the other place on our body also gets affected by the sun and red rashes may occur. Due to this our skin gets darken. When we come in to shadow from hot sun, the red rashes will go way, this mostly happens in starting stage. It is not guarantee that all the lupus suffering people should have butter fly rash only.
Wounds in mouth:
Getting wounds in mouth, under the tongue and inside the jaws. This is the best symptom to identify the lupus.
Hair fall:
Hair fall will be more for the people who have get effect by this disease. They won’t get bald head. But almost hair will fall. This occurs frequently. If the disease comes under control then again hair grows well.
Joint Pain:
There won’t be high join pains but the pains will be as the pain in rheumatoid arthritis disease. The Lupus suffering people will have joint swelling and joint pains. This will be from smaller joints like finger to bigger joints like knees. In rheumatoid arthritis the joints will get damage permanently but in lupus it does not happen permanently. For the people who suffering from lupus, though they have pain and swelling their joints in their body then also their body will be safe. If there is any change in the joints or the disease lupus came in to control and recovering then the swelling and pains of joints will go and you body will be normal in stage. This process is known as Jaccoud's arthropathy.
These are the symptoms of Lupus disease.But all these symptoms can be seen in other health problems too. The people who are suffering from lupus for them only symptom does not occur and stop. Symptoms come one by one.

When the disease lupus effect our kidneys then the kidneys could not work problem and they lose their capability , Therefore, finally it leads to lupus nephritis. So people who are suffering from this problem, in their kidney system they lose filtration of urine program and they lose proteins through urine. In the urine test if you get the result that more Albumins is lose, in such situation doctors test your urine for 24 hours to know how much albumin is getting lost from your body. If the loss of the albumin is 500 mg then we can suspect that is due to lupus nephritis. Then they will cut small piece from the kidney and they will test whether you have lupus nephritis or not. If we notice this at the starting stage and take treatment then the damaged kidney will recover and become normal.
Nerves:
If lupus effect the nerves then there is a chance of occurring mononeuritis multiplex, then the nerves present in the body will become weak and even get struck are the symptoms are seen.
Brain:
When brain is affected by lupus then fits problems occurs on the person. Memory loss and lack of understanding capacity problems will occur.
Lungs:
When lupus effect lungs then water accumulate in the lungs and this leads to pleuritis and pleural eppingen. There is a possibility of swelling in lungs which leads to neumonitis.
Heart:
Due to lupus, water accumulate around pericardium layer in heart which leads to pericardium eppingen. The muscles present in the heart get swell. This swelling of muscles is known as Myocarditis.
Blood:
Due to lupus there may be huge change in blood, then the white blood cells and platelet cells will get reduce. As these many problems are been occurring due to lupus disease, so it is good to follow the instructions of doctor and take the treatment at the early stage of the disease you notice. Therefore, you can get rid of this disease in long run
How to treat this disease?
When doctors observe the symptoms of lupus in us then immediately they will perform blood test. If the white blood cells and platelets are reduced, In white blood cells, the lymphocytes are less, then they suspect it is lupus disease.So in these people ESR and CRP may increase.Then to know exactly whether lupus is there or not, they perform ASA, DSDSA, Antismith and antibody test.
To know which organs of the body lupus attacked, they perform tests for kidney and liver working, urine test and they even take x- rays of chest and joints.
What is the treatment?
Lupus occurs due to the occurence of changes in the disease healing energy. We cannot recover it completely but if we keep it in control then there will be no problem. Hydroxychloroquine is the medicine for this. This works like sanjeevani. Though the disease get control with this, but it is better to take this medicine life long. When the lupus is much serious then its better to use steroid as it work well at that situation. Actually these will protect us from death. The medicines like Azathioprine, methotrexate takes more time to work but steroid works fastly. Steroids are used in the form of tablets and injections. When the lupus making health so serious and people who are suffering from lupus nephritis, neumonitis, CSS, they will perform IV pulse therapy.While this therapy they give you steroids in huge amount of quantity for 3 to 5 days.Due to this we get a good releaf and result.

In Lupus sufferers, some people will have antiphospholipid antibody. This is known as huge syndrome.Due to these antibodies, our blood become thicker. This leads to blood clot, that means blood gets clot in some places in our body which is very dangerous. Due to this, there is a possiblity of blood cloting in legs which is known as Deep Vein thrombosis.Thats why there is a special treatment for this health problem.For some days they will give you the medicines which makes the blood dilute.
