Do you have diabetes? Have you ever felt that it is not possible to lead a healthy life as you have diabetics? Change this thought immediately and follow these tips:

 

  1. Eat small quantities of food at regular intervals. Ensure there is a time gap of 4 hours between each meal.
  2. Take food items that contain whole wheat, bajra, and ragi. You can take milk that has less fat. It is better if you can take black tea or coffee.
  3. Do you take non-vegetarian food items? If yes, avoid fried chicken or fish, egg yolk, and other gravy items that have lots of oil.
  4. Drink a minimum of 2 liters of water a day.

  8. Are you obese? Take immediate steps to reduce weight as this may lead to heart problems.
  9. The worst affected areas when you have diabetes are the foot and eye. Take proper care of your foot. Wear comfortable footwear always. As it may take more time to heal, sometimes, chances of amputating is more.
  10. Regular eye checkups are a must. Visit your ophthalmologist regularly. If you feel your vision is blurred or problems with eyesight, don’t postpone your visit to your eye doctor.
  11. Keep track of your sugar levels. Regularly check the level of blood sugar.
