Youngsters in modern society have many temptations. They divert them from the path of self discipline and make them lose duty-mindedness'. Thus they become burdens not only to themselves but also to others and even to society as a whole. One of such evil temptations is the use of drugs.

Drugs have their proper use also. Drugs like napezium help deep sleep and make patients of hysteria of hypertention make them regain their nervous balance. But their excessive use takes natural control of the nervous system over itself. Thus drugs which are real life-savers in extremely helpless situations, are being misused by youth for temporary pleasures.

Tobacco and betel nut chewing, ghutka pan-masala, pan-parag etc..., which give temporary peace but extremes stimulus for pleasure are spoiling our youth. If drugs in the form of opium and injection are spoiling youth in one way, tobacco and other things are laying foundation for it. So if the evil of drug-addiction has to be rooted, out, shops which sell betel leaves, cigarettes, pan-parag, etc..., must not be allowed near educational areas. Thus lunch time at educational institutions makes youngsters get attracted to these easily. If they are avoided near schools and colleges, students will have proper attention on their duties.

The next remedy is making students see video clippings and documentary films on drug addiction patients and their sufferings. If students see them with necessary concentration, they will never get attracted to such temptations. Moreover, students themselves must be made to prepare pamphlets and other literature necessary for canvasing against drug-addiction. Then they will positively understand the necessity of avoiding drugs.
