Formatting nokia s60 symbian phone

If your nokia phone(ie 6630,6600,6681,6680 etc) is getting slower in processsing ,or you know or may not know that it is infected by some spyware or virus,or you have made some unwanted changes in your phone(like installation of infected software or fonts) which are not reverting back.
and you are planning to go to a mobile shop to get it checked,then i think this article can help you out.

Formatting in nokia s60 symbian phone is of two types:
1)soft format
2)hard format
Note:while trying these formats check your battrey level,don't try if your phone is not fully charged.
formatting erases your all data stored in phone memory( not in external memory cards),icludin contacts and messages etc,so,its better if you made a back of data before proceeding to futher steps:
First of all try soft fomat
*#7370# dial this number
the phone will ask you to enter code.
default code is 12345 ,if you have changed the default code then enter that value
your phone will restart.
enter date and time, and you will notice that phone will process fast as it was a new phone.
if for some reasons soft format doesn't works or you don't know the security code then try hard format:
shut down your phone normally.
now turn it on,while turning it on press these 3 keys simultaneously(green key used for calling,the * key and numeric '3' key) and don't leave them .
in some phone you will see the word formatting on the screen but some phones dont display this word,after fraction of seconds nokia logo 'two hands'
will appear,now u can leave the keys.
enter date and time.
if done in a corrected manner it will surely format your symbian phone.
Note:after formats the security code is12345
these tricks are tested several times by me .
