Don’t think these both the things.career and family need to be compared. Family helps to create a good career and career helps to make a family happy.

A good family makes you have a great career which in future leads to a better life and happy family.

I believe it is family which is more important.

I think one needs to understand the topic. The topic here doesn't state that career and family are two antithetic entities. We all know that they are complementary and not mutually exclusive. But the question is which is more important in reinforcing the other? In my opinion it is indeed family.

A happy family can be attained by a flourishing career. Indeed so. But I believe it is this end - to attain a happy family ,that sparks the desire to build a successful career to be successful in the pursuit of happiness. It is the end that acts as an incentive for us to propel our means, in this case, our careers.

At the end of the day, one would rather have a loving family that loves one for her/his mediocre under-achievements, than have a family, held together by superficial threads of material well-being alone, that a flourishing career guarantees. Success without people to share it with eventually seems hollow, while a crumb earned and shared with a family seems like an achievement and an inspiration to go for the loaf, the next time.

career is something that makes you move ahead in life and family is what will always be by your side in all your endeavors. both the factors are essential. Just as hard work is the key to success, motivation is the next leading factor to success, which comes thru your family so; both career and family should go hand-in-hand and if you just happen to lose any one, then you are in trouble!!

For me its family first. But if you can parallel balance a career too, it will only add to a better lifestyle.

But I guess being a female ,i have the option of having a career or not ,but for guys it will be a compulsion, so the angle will be different.

Career is just temporary and can be found anytime and anywhere once you lost it but once you lost your family, everything is lost. Once you lost your career, your family is there to guide you, to comfort you and support you all the way

one thing, having a good family is a career too. It’s not easy to maintain a good family. In fact, it’s the most difficult career
