I being a housewife wanted to adopt a kid since we are childless couple. But the sad part is that nowadays adoption is not that easy as before. Lot of procedures and paper work are involved in the process. When we contacted some of the orphanages they said that we have to wait for long period i.e two or more years. Couples like us who really want to adopt a kid so as to make a meaningful life, will become frustrated due to the above reasons. The reason why the government takes strict measures for adoption, is because of few culprits in the society who want to sell the kid after adoption just for the sake of money. Children are the future citizens they should be brought well with care and attention. Being an orphan is not their fault. The government should taken steps to safeguard the children from culprits and hand over to genuine couples who can bring up the children in a good environment safely. But at the same time care should be taken to see that the couples going for adoption should not be frustrated. By adoption, the couples adopting the kid and the adopted kid gets a new life.
