The difference is that everybody will reproduce some years later (say 7 years), now when these children will grow up they will also reproduce 7 yrs later making the cumulative delay of 14 years. Similarly at the birth of 4th generation the total delay will be 28 years.

During this span of 28 years, one generation would have grown up if we allowed them to marry early.

So in every 100 years we will have 4 generations instead of 5 hence growth rate will reduce by 20%.

Also we can directly interpret that increasing age of marriage means delaying children so decreased growth rate.

That makes for a good relieving cough syrup rather than an effective antidote. Aren’t we done with relief efforts? We need cures and we need cures now.
