This category of perfumes uses exotic spices, woods, grasses and vanilla to make them smelling sweet. Some kind of moderation is advised in their uses as it could be overpowering.

 

Green

 

This very popular type of perfumes are much adored because of their tangy smell which is produced by the use of aromatic woods such cedar and sandalwood. Sometimes ferns and mosses having a tangy and earthy smell are also used.

 

Chypre

 

This category of perfumes are characterized by a strong spiciness and generally used in the evening.

 

Aldehydic

 

The preponderance of man-made chemicals in the composition of this category of perfumes is the main characteristic These are very popular and cheaper. These chemicals give strength and power to the flowers, fruits and other things with which these are blended.
