The philosopher has aptly said that “Home is where the heart is”. The concept of Home is that it is a place where one and all feel at ease, relaxed and happy. After a hard day’s work, we look forward to returning home. All our emotions and feelings are concentrated at that little place. The Home is a place of memories – sweet or, bitter, but never indifference. The size of the Home does not matter. It may be a huge palatial bungalow or a tiny hut, what is important is the warmth generated by the Home where family members come together, sharing and caring for one another. Quarrels are forgotten and there is a beautiful feeling of oneness within one’s own family. Irrespective of age (young or old), single or married, home is home. You cannot stop returning to it, and the feeling of care and love in never diminished. Even if you are bitten by wanderlust and travel bug sooner rather than later, you will be homesick and long for that cozy niche – the feeling of comfort and security that the home provides. Example:- Shri Devidas was a customs officer. Late at night he was returning to their tiny bungalow. His two children had gone to sleep. His wife, hungry and anxious, was standing in the porch, awaiting her husband’s return. It was past mid night when her husband did return. They ate their dinner and went to bed. As his head touched the pillow, he said,’ be it ever so humble, there is no place like home.’ Your home may lack the trappings of wealth, may be just a small shack shared by several family members, with no privacy at all, but to you it is the best place on earth. An emotional bond is definitely established with one’s home. Home is Sweet Home and that is where you return time and again like the homing pigeon.
