Raj, a 5th class student studying in one of the schools in a small town of Bihar. He had a habit of listening to bed time stories from his father. His father serves in police and he regaled Raj with the tales of his encounter with robberers, thieves and terrorists. Raj was very impressed with this stories and would go to sleep every night dreaming that one day he would also be known for his bravery just like his father. Everyday he would observe his father and would try to learn and adapt qualities that made him different from other people.

One day while he was in his school attending his class, he heard sounds coming from the ground of school. People were screaming and he saw some people were running around to save their lives. It was something no one could understand. But his teacher stopped teaching and face of the teacher went pale with fear. Raj immidiately knew that there was something wrong. Teacher was prompt enough to close the doors of the classroom and he announced that a group of dacoits had attacked their school. Teachers and students of next class also came running to Raj's class and they were all together standing frightened and scared of what will happen next. The news spread like a wild fire that the dacoits had made principal bondage and so there was no one who could now save them. All of them were praying in unison, asking god to help them.

Suddenly all the noise stopped and it was like world was on a pause mode. Nobody knew what had happen outside as they were in a closed classroom. Suddenly a harsh and rough voice came from outside alongwith a blow on the door. The man in husky voice was asking them to open the door. On hearing this children started crying. Teachers did not know what to do. So in a whispering voice they asked children to not to make any noise. Again came the husky voice and this time in a louder tone he told them to open the door or he will break the door. But no one dared answer him back and now with a big blow and bigger voice the door came down breaking into parts. A man with big moustache and a turban on his head came inside. He was wearing a long shirt and a broad pant. He hold in his hands a big rifle and he was followed by 20 other man. They told children and teachers not to scream and told them that they had no personal rivalry with any of them but they were here to protect themselves from police. They were looking for shelter to spend few hours and as soon as they find themselves safe they would run away from there. And they asked all children and both the teachers to follow them to prayer hall where they had made other students and teachers alongwith the principal their bondage. Everyone quietly followed his instruction. He took hold of Raju, Raj's classsmate and head kept gun on his head ad told everyone that if anyone of them tries to runaway or outsmart them then they would push the trigger.

All of them now were in a prayer hall with rest of the students and teachers. All students were crying and teachers and principal were frightened. Raj was also scared but suddenly he was reminded of his father and his real life stories. He thought it would be shame on his part if he gives up, now it was the time to show that he is as brave as his father. A sudden idea stricked him, he asked another student standing near him to act as if he has fainted. Miraj, was too scared to do this but Raj somehow coaxed Miraj to follow what he was saying. Miraj screamed loudly and fainted. Raj called everyone and started crying loudly saying that Miraj was constantly crying and that is why he has fainted. Everyone gatherd around him and those dacoits were confused. Leader of the gang again in his raised husky voice asked everyone not to make noise and all of them came near miraj to see what was wrong.

Taking clue from the situation Raj silently moved out from the group where everyone had gathered. He showed his promptness and he ran to principal's office from where he can call up his dad to come to his school with his police force. He did this with the speed of lightning. But now he can not go back to the group because then dacoits would come to know about his deed. Everyone resumed their place after sprinkling water on Miraj's face. Miraj now stood up again. But suddenly one of the dacoits realised that the boy standing near Miraj was missing and he told it to his leader who was fuming with anger and was asking about Raj's whereabouts. He told that he would gun down everyone standing there. Raj did not know what to do and was praying that his father comes faster.

In about 5 -10 minutes police surrounded school campus and from mike announced that dacoits should release children and teachers because now they were under control of police. Raj's father came inside the school and in mean time Raj also came out. Raj took the gun from one of the dacoits by bitting on his hand and told dacoits that gun was in his hand and if they did anything wrong police was outside, his father had entered school and now they had no option but to relieve children and teachers. Raj's father also got hold of the leader. Finally, police entered school and arrested dacoits.

Raj became the hero of the school and was honoured by bravery award given by state government. Raj was very happy and thought that his dream to become like his father had come true. His parents were very proud of him. Today, Raj's father is retired poiceman and Raj is a grown up handsome man now, he is the chief guest of the award function today and he will give away the bravery awards to children. Today, he is shining in the colours of bravery and valour donning the uniform of IPS.
