Paranormal Research
Paranormal means against or beyond the normal, the experience which is against the scientific explanation. The word 'para' derived from Greek and Latin which means against, beyond or outside. Hence the paranormal subjects include those pertain to ghosts, supernatural life, etc.
There are number of stories related to paranormal phenomena which are seen in individual life or found at famous places but the scientific organizations do not support this phenomena as there is no scientific evidence to prove.
Paranormal Research
Paranormal research is the most difficult research because there is no physical presence of evidence. But still there are research studies conducted by the researchers and parapsychologist. Parapsychologist are the experimental investigators of the paranormal activities who has knowledge of parapsychology.
There are different approaches towards the research and studies, few of them are -
A) Scientific Investigation - It's a critical investigation where an investigation is done by using the scientific explanation. If there a person has experienced the paranormal activity at home like hearing footsteps, hearing unknown voices, objects are misplaced or flying without any help, etc then the paranormal investigators try to find out whether is this a paranormal activity done by spirits or ghost or is this normal? To find this out they use certain scientific paranormal equipments
1) Electronic Voice Phenomena(EVP) - It is a device where the sounds are captured and recorded on the tape which are not audible to normal human ear. Any sound that is different from the surrounding sound is further analyzed. But EVP has some false positive results because during the investigations the investigators speak ,those sounds get captured too as it is very difficult to be completely silent at that time.
2) EMF detectors - It is an instrument to detect the electromagnetic field (EMF). It detects the change in magnetic field in the surrounding. Whenever there is any unexplained fluctuation in the electromagnetic field it is easily captured and the further investigation is carried out at that particular place.
3) Thermal Cameras - It is the latest tool used in paranormal investigation. It is procedure which helps in monitoring, sensing, and recording of temperature. Thermography measures the surface temperature by using infrared cameras. With the help of this camera, investigator can document the cold or warm spots and sometimes the image of paranormal source. Usually it shows white color for warm region and black color for cold region. Cold spot indicates the presence of spirit or any paranormal activity at that particular region.
B) Para psychological approach- It means beyond the human mind or normal human thinking like near-death experience, precognition or clairvoyance. Parapyschology is not the scientific approach for paranormal investigation. Here the investigation includes -
1) Near-death experience - An experience is reported from a person who experience the clinical death or who nearly died.
2) Clairvoyance - This person has extra-sensory perception ability where he can get an information of an object, person or physical event through extra senses. This helps to understand and detect the presence of any paranormal activity .
3) Precognition - It is also an extra sensory perception where a person can predict or provide information about the future events before they occur.
Paranormal Research in India - Paranormal research and studies are more common in countries like USA and Europe but now India is following too in the field of paranormal. There is a Indian Paranormal Society which deals with the paranormal research and investigation. It is a nonprofit organization. The team of investigators are called as GRIP team who educate people by doing shows on paranormal investigations.
Paranormal Story
This paranormal story has been taken from the episode of 'The Haunted' .
There was a old neglected house in a town somewhere in Europe which was haunted. Sometimes neighbors use to hear the sound or music from this haunted house. No one ever dared to enter that house.
Once a man moved to this city first time at his job required him to relocate. He saw this house and inquire about the house owner but neighbors mentioned that they dont know who is the owner but he was unaware of the strange things happening in that house. He decided to buy the house. He moved in the house with his wife and children but within a week strange things started happening like his wife began hearing weird noises and smells. Initially they neglected but it started getting worse day by day. So they finally decided to move out of the house. But he didnt had money to buy another house.
Finally he decided to investigate the house so he called the paranormal investigators. With the help of EMF, EVP and cameras they came to conclusion that there is a dark energy living here. Finally the Pastor from church was invited to perform some rituals and bless the house. After few rituals and blessings the spirit and dark energy was gone. Then the family started staying happily with no more sounds and smells.
