Life of a Rickshawpuller
Rickshaw puller are those person who pulled three wheeler around the city's crowded streets and often remain voiceless. People everyday depend on them to travel to the nearest places. There are different rickshaws available. The handpulled rickshaws were used previously which was of no sense. It is very difficult for one to pull those rickshaws. It needs lot of efforts and strength. But now cycle rickshaws are in use. These people need great energy to pulled the rickshaws when they are loaded with passenger.
Their lifes are very critical. They are the poor people of the nation. We have to call them the rickshawpuller just because they pulled the rickshaws which is their profession. Many rickshaw puller cannot afford to buy their own rickshaw and they had to hire it from other and work for them who becomes their owner. They had to share their income with their owner. even sometime it has been found that after giving the share of amount they had nothing left in hand and as such had to return home without any money. Many of them had to spent their night on the footh path or just take shelter on the rickshaw. It is not possible for many of them to take ahouse for them to stay. They cannot work for 24 hours. So they hire it from morning till evening. If any damage occurs due to any accident to the rickshaws the owner bears its cost. It is the duty of the rickshaw puller to carry their passenger and drop them to their propper destination. The wages are fixed by the government for different destination and they charge according to the fixed rate. But still many passenger behave rudely with them even some of them use harsh languages also if they charge high rate and started bargaining with them. Often it has been found that many passenger pay them less wages than the contract. The rickshaw puller pulled the rickshaws even the road is rough or the weather condition is not good. They does not bother about any weather. They just have no care of their life. They charge high rate when the weather and the condition of the road is bad. During festival time also they increase their rate of wages.
Rickshaw puller are very weak person of the society. They are very mild. They carefully pulled the rickshaws when they carry passengers. They know the traffic rules and tries their best not to break them. He has a good sense of pulling the rickshaws. They always look for the safety of their passenger and also for the other person who walks on the road. But beside these they had some bad qualities inside them. The rickshaw puller are much addicted with drinking of liquor and play the game of cards and lost their hard days earning. Their family had to suffer a lot because of their bad habits. They could not provide proper education to their children. But they earns a good income. they spent all those income in watching movies, smoking and drinking. So inspite of good earning they remains poor. their children are grown up in the polluted environment. They use harsh words from very early childhood. Some of them pulled the rickshaws in a drunken state. No body likes to travel with those rickshaw puller. Which does not help them to earn money.
The rickshaw puller are the very important person of the society. We are very much attached with them. They help the people in all situation. They never refuse their passenger. If they don't know the proper destination they never agree to carry the passenger. We should understand their hard toil and be very polite towards them. We should feel pity and show sympathy towards them.
