*It is a very important to learn the art of good conversation. It will not only make you popular but also successful in life.

Some tips for good conversation

  • A good conversation is a two –way traffic. You talk as well as listen.
  • Be a good listener. Don’t try to dominate while talking with another person.
  • Do not look here ad and there while talking. Look at the person who is talking to you.
  • Do not keep hands in pockets while talking.
  • Speak slowly and clearly.
  • Do not keep settling your hair or clothes.
  • Do not interrupt while the other person is speaking.
  • During conversation if you happen not to hear what has been said, do not say, ``what?’’, but say only ``Pardon’’ or ``I beg your pardon’’.
  • Do not forget to use the magic words ``Thank you’’, ``Please’’, ``Sorry’’ and ``Excuse me’’ in your conversation.
  • Beware of being drawn into arguments about religion, politics, etc.
  • Do not ask personal questions.
  • Don’t show off that you know so much.
  • Don’t try to be an authority on a subject about which you have little knowledge.

*We should follow good manners when we visit someone in a hospital.

We should keep the following things in mind while visiting a hospital

  • Go to a hospital only during the visiting hours.
  • If you are suffering from cough, cold or fever, avoid going to the hospital.
  • Small children should avoid going to the hospital as they can easily catch infection there.
  • Do not make a noise in the hospital.
  • Do not run in the corridors.
  • Do not use the elevator (lift) again and again to have fun.
  • If the patient is serious, ask about his/ her condition from his/ her relatives.
