In our lives we respect people whom we are forced to respect to whether we like it or not.  This is because of the fact we do not have any options.  For example whether we like our boss or not we have to respect him or her.  Similarly when we meet a powerful person we have to respect him for there is no choice.  If you go a step ahead, there may a Government employee who is far less qualified than you and may be drawing a much lesser salary but still you have to respect him, because that is your weakness because if he refuses to co operate you could be inconvenienced.

While we do not have any problems respecting a person whom we are forced to, we should also learn to respect people who deserve our respect.

1. Parents:- Never argue with your parents for you are not sure whether you are right and they are wrong. Even if they are wrong they deserve your respect because you are what you are only because of them.  They have done a lot for you and if you cannot reciprocate atleast do not disrespect them.

2. Teachers:- The very foundation of our lives are laid down by our teachers.  Whether we have achieved anything or not in our life is debatable.  One thing is for sure that even if we are good human beings and reasonably successful it is because of our teachers. As good human being it is duty to respect teachers.  All of us respect our teachers even after decades after leaving school and that in itself is an example of the contribution they have made to our lives.

3. Doctors:- Never ever argue with a doctor.  A doctor has far more knowledge than us.  He has definitely studied more than us and has more experience. The most noble among all professions belongs to the doctor.   A doctor could be wrong occasionally because he is also human and bound to err.  That however should not stop us from respecting him and his profession.

While it is for a individual whom to respect Parents, Teachers and Doctors should be respected at all costs
