In this article we will know about some words that really relate to some parts of the house/living place. Both inside and out residence, home, house, accommodations; quarters, rooms, lodgings; informal place, pad, digs you can have many more such names.
the balcony-a platform enclosed by a wall or balustrade on the outside of a building, with access from an upper-floor window or door.
balustrade-a railing supported by balusters, esp. an ornamental parapet on a balcony, bridge, or terrace.
the bathroom-a room containing a bathtub or a shower and usually also a washbasin and a toilet.
beam- a long, sturdy piece of squared timber or metal spanning an opening or part of a building, usually to support the roof or floor above.
boudoir- a woman's bedroom or private room.
bower- a pleasant shady place under trees or climbing plants in a garden or wood.
cabin- a private room or compartment on a ship.
Cabinet- a cupboard with drawers or shelves for storing or displaying articles : a medicine cabinet.
casement - a window or part of a window set on a hinge so that it opens like a door
ceiling- the upper interior surface of a room or other similar compartment.
cellar- a room below ground level in a house, typically one used for storing wine or coal.
chamber- a hall used by a legislative or judicial body.
• the body that meets in such a hall.
• any of the houses of a legislature
chimney- a vertical channel or pipe that conducts smoke and combustion gases up from a fire or furnace and typically through the roof of a building.
• the part of such a structure that extends above the roof.
• a glass tube that protects the flame of a lamp.
• a steep narrow cleft by which a rock face may be climbed.
cupboard- a cabinet or closet, usually with a door and shelves, used for storage : a kitchen cupboard.
door - a hinged, sliding, or revolving barrier at the entrance to a building, room, or vehicle, or in the framework of a cupboard.
drawing room- a room in a large private house in which guests can be received and entertained.
eaves- the part of a roof that meets or overhangs the walls of a building.
floor- the lower surface of a room, on which one may walk
flue- a passage for the escape of smoke.
garage- a building or shed for housing a motor vehicle or vehicles.
• an establishment that provides services and repairs for motor vehicles.
garret-a top-floor or attic room, esp. a small dismal one (traditionally inhabited by an artist).
hall- an area in a building onto which rooms open; a corridor.
• the room or space just inside the front entrance of a house or apartment : an entrance hall.
hearth- the floor of a fireplace
kitchen- a room or area where food is prepared and cooked.
latrine- a toilet, esp. a communal one in a camp or barracks.
mantel- a mantelpiece or mantelshelf.
che - a recess in wall
pantry- a small room or closet in which food, dishes, and utensils are kept.
parlor - dated a sitting room in a private house.
• a room in a public building for receiving guests : the mayor's parlor.
• a room in a monastery or convent that is set aside for conversation.
porch- a covered shelter projecting in front of the entrance of a building.
• a veranda.
privy- sharing in the knowledge of (something secret or private)
roof- the structure forming the upper covering of a building or vehicle.
room- chamber
story- a part of a building comprising all the rooms that are on the same level
threshold- a strip of wood, metal, or stone forming the bottom of a doorway and crossed in entering a house or room.
tile- a thin rectangular slab of baked clay, concrete, or other material, used in overlapping rows for covering roofs.
wall- a continuous vertical brick or stone structure that encloses or divides an area of land
