Common discomforts we face during rainy season
Rain - The word itself will give happiness.If it happens we will enjoy it especially childrenIf it doesn't come during the season, we will pray to God to give..
But there are some discomforts that we face during rainy seasons especially if it rains continuously. Lets see what are they:
1. Frequent powercuts:
We will face power cuts often during rain especially if some cyclone is formed.Transformers may get damaged or some wires will be cut.Nowadays without power we cannot
do anything.We cannot fill our water tank by putting the motor.So water will not be available.Without water,nothing we can do.So during rainy season,it is always better to
fill the tank atleast once in a day before we go to bed.Even if we use inverters, we can put fan,light etc for few hours but that also won't last long if it rains continuously.
2. Flooded roads:
We can test the quality of the roads very well during times.We can see muds, stagnant water and holes everywhere in the road.If it is heavy rain, then we can see water up
to our foot or sometimes even to our hip. It will be difficult to travel even with a vehicle especially bikes because if the road is flooded with water we cannot see where there
is pit or hole and we will fall.
3. Drying Clothes:
We cannot wash our clothes daily as it will be difficult to dry it as there will be no sun.If sun comes for sometime, seeing that we will wash all the clothes and dry it.Suddenly
rain will come and before we take the clothes it will be completely wet.
4. Vegetables:
Price of vegetables and fruits will go up. We won't get all vegetables and fruits during this time.Also lot of sand will be in the vegetables due to rain.
5. Transport:
Trains and buses will come late than the usual time.Sometimes trains may get cancelled due to water in the tracks.During heavy flood sometimes a village or town may be
completely isolated from the rest part of the state due to roads being washed away and it will take some days to restart the transportation again.
6. Passengers:
To travel in an old government bus when it is raining is very difficult.We can see lot of mud and water on the space below the seats. If we are sitting in the window seat
water will leak from the top of the bus and drop on us. Generally we can't enjoy travelling to any place if it is raining.
7. Autorickshaws :
Auto drivers will ask double fare for the place during this time.Some auto drivers will not take people to long distances.Sometimes it will be difficult to get an auto during this time.
8. Walking : Walking in rain is very difficult because the vehicles going in the road many pour mud water on us and our dresses will be dirty.Also mud will stick on our
shoes / chappals.
9. Huts / small houses: People living in huts or in low lying areas are worst affected by rain.Many of them may lose their houses in rain.So they won't have food and shelter.
Sometimes rain may come inside the house also.
10.Diseases: Sometimes drainage water many mix with the water in the roads and so many insects will come from this and causes diseases.
11. Farmers: Farmers are always affected by rain. If it is less then the paddy wont grow and their income is affected. If it is excess it will wash away the grains.
12. Roadside shops: Some people will have shops in the platforms.If it rains they cannot sell things and they have to close the shops and it will affect their normal life.
13.Newspaper & Milk : Newspapers and milk will come very late than the usual time. Retired old age people have the habit of reading newspaper as soon as they woke up
in morning.If paper comes late, they will like they have lost something.
