In the mirror I see a face;

Into two innocent eyes I gaze.

A wild child I see;

running around scraping his knee.

Life is so simple and good;

That's because I see my childhood.

Then....

In the mirror I see a face;

keeping up with jet age pace.

Fighting to reach work on time;

Cutting expenses to save each dime.

Trying to achieve everything he can;

That's because I see a young man.

Now...

In the mirror I see a face;

Trying vainly to keep up the chase.

With trembling hands the mirror I clean;

Hoping to see the face I had once seen.

That child that youth I now miss;

Ah! Those days were a bliss.

The old home is like a cage;

That's because I see my oldage?
