It was a very powerful tool at present because those who didn't believe in police due to the influence of politicians an this is the only medium where each and every sensitive issues are dealt with.And many examples such as Tehelka issues where the politicians are caught asking for bribe are also possible only with the help of Media power...
They also involve on a wide coveraga and as aresult of this many more viewers are given th eoppurtunity to watch the channel and they also update with all the lates technology and make the live broadcast in a effective way.
But another disadvantage is that they also responsible for creating unnecessary tension as they make even a small problem into a big issue and this also results in panic among the people.Wee Ive read in a news paper where a author has said instead of putting Breaking news for every death of swine flu, if they did the same with the number of people who are recoverd from the Swine Flu.... it will make the people to have a comfortable feeling rather than panic.
So, when we consider this topic we can discuss for a very long time but in short to conclude we can say Media is like a knife, we have to make use for a very good purpose.
