This article is on something everybody experiences in their lives, but do not think seriously about it or  make a note of it.  All of us always tend to live in the past as we always have a feeling that we had a glorious past when compared to the present in which we live in .  Here are few examples of our perception of the glorious past we lived in.

Hand Writing' Typewriting and Computers:- Modern day softwares in computers allow us to format data in various types of fonts and sizes. Most fonts give a lot of visual pleasure if you see it directly on the screen.  In some cases print outs look even greater and we love to see it time and again.  Suddenly when you take one of your old files and see some typewritten matter, you tend to get attached with the typewritten matter even the page on which the matter was typed looks dirty.  If you see some older files like your old hand written articles of school or college days you get a feeling that handwritten materials looks great, however dirty the handwriting may be.

Old Movies:- When you see a telecast of a move on your television sets, which was originally released 20 years back in 1989, you derive great visual pleasure as you do not want to miss even a single scene of the movie.  The current movies appear to be very boring and repetitive while there is a special charm in the older movies and you always talk about it.

If you look at the above facts, there is nothing great about old things or past happenings as everything is purely physological,  All of us do not want to accept the today which we live in.  For example the movie you saw in 1989 was boring when you first saw in a theatre as you felt everything was routine and predictable stuff in the movie like the usual songs, dances and fights.  However when pattern of movies started changing from 1989 to 2009, the movie you saw in 1989 is bringing a special charm to you now as it looks different from movies of today. Similarly if you see a movie in this year 2009, you will not find anything exciting in the movie, but if you see the same move 20 years later in 2029, the movie which never looked great in 2009  looks great because by then the pattern of movie making would have changed as per tastes of the audiences in that generation.

So friends, let us accept and enjoy the today in which we live in instead of enjoying our today lives 20 years later.

Regards

Satish
