Nowadays both men and women have hectic work schedules and only weekends save them. So they would to like to enjoy their weekends. There's nothing in that.

At the same time we have to keep our house clean and should manage our personal work also. So you can spend atleast one or two weekends in a month to do

some personal work like cleaning the house, financial work, taking care of our family etc .  First you can prepare a list of monthly maintenance tasks and prepare

schedule for that also like you do in your office. Some of these things are so small that it don't take even half an hour to finish it. But we won't do that regularly.

I have listed some of them below:

  • Clean all the shelves in your kitchen by changing the papers in it and  remove the dust.

  • Clean utility and entertainment equipments like mixie, TV, washing machine, AC, refrigerator, music players , microwave owen etc. If it is not possible to clean everything

in single day you can split it to two days. You can also note down the date in which your refrigerator / AC was last cleaned ( similar to your vehicle's last date of servic

eand the proposed future date ) so that you know how long the cleaning is pending.

  • Check the expiry date of the medicines regularly atleast every 3 or 4 months. If it is expired throw it and buy new medicines if needed.

  • Clean your bathrooms , toilets , tiles in bathrooms and toilet and washbasins atleast once in a week or once in 2 weeks.

  • Make a note of the due date of all your life insurance, medical insurance, vehicle insurance policies and check in the first week of every month what has to be paid

in that month and arrange the necessary funds for that.

  • Wash your two wheeler or four wheeler with water atleast once in a month.

  • Make a note of the billing and due dates of your mobile, landline, EB, credit card etc and check the bills manually and find if everything is correct and then

pay the bills before the due date. Mostly the due date for the bills will be the 3rd week of the month.

  • Change your bed spread and pillow covers atleast once in  a month.

  • Dust your sofa and change the cover atleast once in a month.

  • Clean the dust in your house atleast once in a month.

  • Clean your dress shelves and cosmetics shelves atleast once in 2 weeks.

  • Check your dresses every 3 months and find out the unused or damaged dress and give the unused good dresses to poor people or orphanages.

  • In the first week of every month check if you have to travel to your native or to attend marriages or any functions and book the tickets accordingly. If it is train its

better to book before 2 months itself.

  • Check out if you have to purchase any gift for birthday's / anniversaries / other functions for that month or following month and purchase that well in advance

    to avoid last minute tension.

  • If you have a kid check if they have done the homework correctly for the following week.

  • Plan the food you are going to prepare for the next week and get vegetables , groceries and other things that weekend itself.

  • Buy notebooks, pen, pencil and other things needed for your kids well in advance.

  • If you are planning to rent or buy a house, sit on saturday and browse internet / paper and select the homes that suits your needs , call the concerned persons and

fix time with them to see the house on sunday.

  • If you are learning car or two wheeler practice it by taking in main roads during the weekends.

  • You can visit your one or more of your close friend's / relative's house and spend  the day there.

  • You can plan a gettogether with your friends whom you have not seen for months and enjoy the day.

  • You can take your family out to nearest entertainment place or you can plan a trip for couple of days to some tourist places.

  • If aged parents or somebody else is living with you, you can take them to hospitals for regular check ups.
