Why Introverts are Unpopular
Introverts always present a negative image of themselves in front of people. Often they are branded as people who are very selfish sitting in the comfort of their homes and not willing to do anything for the family or to the society. If a person makes an effort to go deep into a introverts life there is not much of a difference between introvert and extrovert. They are lot similar though the body language conveyed is exactly the opposite.
1. General perception of an introvert lacking commitment in a relationship:- The general perception is that an extrovert is as committed to a family, relationship or society. An introvert too is as committed towards family and relationship similar to that of an extrovert The only difference an extrovert shows it openly in front of everybody by publicly displaying their warmth and affection. Introverts on the other hand are conservative about showing their emotions for they have the same feeling of affection but keep their feelings to themselves without expressing them for shyness prevents them from expressing it openly. Introverts sometimes never get what they want in life as they do not know to convey their feelings like for example a boy likes a girl and likes to marry her but his nature prevents him from professing his love to her. Had the boy been an extrovert he would have had a very happy love marriage.
2. Perception of a introvert being proud:- Introverts are often perceived as being proud as they do not express emotions on an achievement. While an extrovert may celebrate and at the same time show his gratitude by waving to people or thanking them, an introvert too feels like celebrating and thanking people but by nature lacks the ability to express them and therefore gets branded as somebody who is of a proud character. There are many introverts who make an effort to come out of their limitations and some of them have had limited success as well, but in general a person finds it difficult to come out of his limitations.
The ability to express themselves in front of everybody makes extroverts popular and the lack of the same ability makes introverts unpopular. Apart from that it leads to misunderstandings in the family as extroverts feel introverts are not committed enough in the environment they live in. The introverts on their part think the extroverts are going overboard in their dealings and expect a more conservative approach from them. It has often been observed that lot of misunderstandings occur in environment where introverts and extroverts live together. The misunderstandings can be solved and even avoided if extroverts think from a introverts point of view and vice versa.
