People Rebel Against Their Creator
People Rebel Against Their Creator. But mankind rebelled against God, the one who had made them! They did not obey God or keep his laws. Men forgot God's power and love and became disloyal and unfaithful; they angered him by making idols to worship instead of loving him. They became ENEMIES OF THEIR CREATORS , haters of God.
After people began to increase in number on th earth, God saw that their wickedness was very great, and that all the thoughts of their hearts are only evil all the time. God was grieved taht he had made man on th earth and his heart was filled with pain.
Today God looks down from heaven and sees every person. He watches all who live on earth to see if thee are any who understand, any who turn back to God. But everyone has turned away from God. All humanity has become corrupt; there is no one who does what God wants, not even one!
even though people, know God in their hearts, they neither honor him as their creator nor give thanks to him. And so their thinking has become futile and their foolish hearts become dark. They think they are wise, but they become foolish , and have changed the glory of the immortal . God for idols made to look like mortal man , birds , animals and reptiles.
God Gives Men Over To Their Lusts
So God has handed people over in the sinful desires of their hearts; to sexual impurity, to the defiling of their bodies, and shameful lusts. Since people have exchanged the truth of God for a lie and have worshiped things made with hands rather than their creator, their minds become depraved. They become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil and greed.
Because people hate God and do not even want to remember him, they have become filled with envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers and arrogant. They disobey their parents and abuse their families; they are arrogant, faithless, heartless and ruthless. Even though everyone knows God has decreed death and judgement for those who do such things, they not only continue to do those things, but also encourage others to do them.
