Pallavi: Darwin, welcome to the interview :)
Darwin: Thank u :)
Darwin: Really obliged to be part of your blog :)
Pallavi: I have lots of questions lined up for you. You ready to take them on?
Darwin: Ready :)
Pallavi: Ok, here's the first question
Pallavi: Being a mod, what do Webbie, the other mods and members expect from you?
Darwin: Well the most important characteristics that Webbie sees in each mod are whether they are active or not, whether they have proper writing skills
Darwin: Other factors include, being sensible, creating nice threads and being a wannabe is a strict no no in Webbie's book
Pallavi: So how did you catch Webbie's eye?
Darwin: Actually I was quite a regular member of the community, and like many other community members even I used to pwn lame TC's
Darwin: in the year , I made this new year resolution of not pwning anyone
Darwin: Slowly I started helping people, if anyone would create a repetitive thread, I would direct them to threads which were already created
Darwin: Then I used to post the links of Lame/repetitive threads in LODT so that mods won't have to search for them once they come back
Darwin: This is how Webbie noticed me :)
Pallavi: You sure are a hardworking person, and I am sure that's what Webbie saw :)
Pallavi: Next question
Pallavi: During your time as mod what have you learnt from the community?
Darwin: That there IS life on social networking sites, that sometimes you may be loved more by people on this virtual world than in the real world!
Darwin: And that virtual world is also full of pollution :p
Darwin: Also, it’s been a proper medium to polish my communication as well as my creative skills
Pallavi: Hehe, yeah there sure is But then how close can you be with people you've never met?
Darwin: Yeah, you cannot be close to everyone but there are indeed some people whom I am close to the heart, mental closeness is what matters the most in life and not physical closeness :)
Darwin: And it’s a fact that I am more close to a couple of virtual friends than to my friends with whom I had studied since my childhood days
Pallavi: So who are your closest friends on the community?
Darwin: Hmm many, If I start naming them and miss out some names many of them would get angry with me :p
Darwin: But amongst all of them Pooja and Arjit are two people who know almost everything about me
Darwin: So you can say I am closest to them :)
Pallavi: Nice to know :) Ok, to the next question then
Pallavi: If Webbie ever gives you the chance would you like to join MTV professionally?
Darwin: If I get a chance now, I wouldn't be able to unless it is a part time job I would concentrate in completing my studies rather than jumping in for a job If I get a chance after I complete my studies then I will definitely grab the opportunity
Darwin: I've love to be accompanied by Arjit, he's a sheer genius!
Pallavi: You think the two of you can be the next Nitin and Sehran?
Darwin: Maybe, maybe not :p
Darwin: But it’s a fact that there cannot be another Nitin or Sehran Yes, but we can be a tech geek and photoshopee combo :p
Pallavi: Sounds good to me Move over Nitin/Sehran :P
Darwin: Sounds good to me as well B-)
Pallavi: Now, you are one of the most active mods of the community, how do you manage it with your daily social life?
Darwin: Well, I believe I am less active nowadays :p
Darwin: I come online mostly during the evening I cannot afford missing my college for the community of course as studies are important But I manage to take time out for the community instead of watching TV or fooling around with friends
Pallavi: Still there was a time when you were there almost always
Darwin: Yeah! Earlier I was quite active
Darwin: In fact, during the initial few weeks of being a mod, I remember I used be online for around hours a day; few days later my SMPS crashed :p
Darwin: So had to cut down my usage for the sake of my PC :p
Darwin: I was in my 3 rd year during that time and I used to have college for only 3 hrs a day; 3 days a week
Darwin: So I always had time for the community :)
Pallavi: Well, you are doing a great job of juggling college and the community
Darwin: Yeah! When I get a lot of homework from college (Yes I do :( ) I avoid spending those extra hours on the internet
Darwin: My college fest practices are on now, so I'm active :D
Pallavi: Tell me what interests you in being a mod of the MTV community What are the perks? Extra attention from the ladies, eh? ;)
Darwin: Lol! That’s something which I am yet to figure out myself :p
Darwin: It’s like an addiction!
Darwin: During the initial days I used to LOVE cleaning the lameness of the community as it was always frustrating to see repetitive, lame threads flowing in the community
Darwin: Attention from ladies is the extra treat that I get every now and then :p
Pallavi: Uh huh
Pallavi: Alright some fun questions now
Darwin: Yup :)
Pallavi: Since you did figure out evolution, tell me what came first, murgi ya anda?
Darwin: Anda, Coz I had ordered a cheese omlette first :D
Pallavi: What a Nobel prize winning answer :|
Darwin: Lol! People don't call me a sanki budha for no reason :p
Pallavi: Which brings me to Falgun's question He asks, "Don't you feel insulted when people call you names like that?"
Darwin: Nope, not at all In fact I enjoy cracking jokes on myself; have been doing this since my school days :p
Darwin: It takes a big heart to laugh at yourself; and Darwin's heart is bigger than his theories :)
Pallavi: Waah! Alright here's an interesting question from everybody's favourite, Ragha
Pallavi: Have you ever been jealous of Webbie because of the fact that Jelo flirts with him?
Darwin: No :p I know Jelo's too young for him And I'm always active when Webbie is busy in his consignments So I always get to spend more time with her :p
Pallavi: While we are on the topic, what’s your chakkar with Jelo, eh? /:)
Darwin: Lol! She's just a good friend :">
Pallavi: Uh huh I can see you blush :P
Darwin: Err my cheeks were red since I was born :p
Darwin: On a serious note
Darwin: Jelo always used to admire Darwin: for his hardwork and Darwin: used to admire her for her maturity so that’s how we became friends :)
Pallavi: Seems like the start to a lovely love story :P
Darwin: And about flirting with her; both of us know our limits We do that just for fun :p Nothing serious in between both of us :)
Pallavi: Chalo, that means the other boys in the community still have their shot haha
Darwin: Yeah; provided they can impress her as much as Darwin does :p
Pallavi: Tell me has there been an incident where you have gotten really angry at some member of the community? Is there a member you secretly hate, perhaps? :P
Darwin: Yup, there has been many Although there is no particular member that I hate, there have been instances when I'd felt like kicking a particular member in the butt!
Darwin: I remember there was a thread named "Tamanna we hate u"
Darwin: One member always used to post censored but filthy abuses in that thread He always used to ping the thread every time he would come online
Darwin: And when I warn him he would act as if I am a Hitler and he hasn't broken any rules of the community
Pallavi: Who?
Darwin: He was some fakie with the name "SAM"
Darwin: I had banned him once and unbanned him when he had apologised
Darwin: but he continued with his shitty comments which compelled me to ban him again
Darwin: After that he had argued with me for around hours
Darwin: After which I stopped replied to his scraps as he would not listen to me and post senseless points all the time
Pallavi: So did you ever figure out who he was actually?
Darwin: No, I wasn't interested at all
Pallavi: And what has been your most favourite moment in the community?
Darwin: There are 3 actually
Darwin: Once when my identity was revealed by Webbie People always used to scrap me that they want to know the person behind this profile as he works really hard So it was a warm feeling of finally receiving the credits for my hard work
Darwin: Once when Arjit had created a thread for me "It’s all about Jammy" I had recovered from a bad time and I was overwhelmed to receive such love from him and other members Worked as a tonic for me ;)
Darwin: And once when I had come back after a month long exile The first thing I noticed was that a thread was created for me stating how much the members miss me I was really thankful to Neeraj for the same :)
Pallavi: Sweet! :)
Pallavi: Ok, last and final question
Pallavi: What would you like to say to Webbie and the other mods and members of the community? Feel free to include specific names of people
Darwin: To Webbie I'd like to say that he's managing this community quite well! If I would've been at his place then I would've have even managed to take time out from my busy schedule He works really hard so nothing but respect for him Once request Please tell me how my records in the black book are :p
Darwin: For Nitin Never met a year old who's as intelligent and witty as u :) Keep up the good work! You deserve to be a core part of MTV :D
Darwin: For Jay B Just be active and accept members as well, need any help then lemme know
Darwin: For Pranav You've come a long way bro! Just try pwning less and people would like u more!
Darwin: To the rest of the members I'd like to say that always take the initiative of spreading good vibes in the community Pwning a lamer or a newbie is tempting but only when you resist yourself from doing so will you go beyond being another member of this community Make your presence felt in this community and do co operate with us :)
Pallavi: Nothing about me? :(
Darwin: No :p

Darwin: To Pallavi I think you're doing a pretty good job in this community Let me tell this to you if no other member has told you yet - You are one of the most sensible members that this community has seen And looking at your age; your writing skills are quite appreciable :)
Pallavi: Yay! :D
