In the previous series, I told that my sis was rejected by my bro-in-law. But she spoke with their parents by meeting them. The actual reason why he rejected was that he was not interested to marry as of then. Now she knew that he was not averse to her but to the idea of marriage. So she contacted him and met him twice and spoke and convinced him. My sister is a very bubbly girl and is a talkitive girl. My bro-in-law liked this character in her because he is very silent and sensitive by nature. Obviously, opposites attract and sparks flied between them. He accepted for the marriage but said he doesn't need a big marriage but a very simple register marriage without any hungama. Now, this is a problem for my huge family of many aunts and uncles. We have awaiting her marraige and wanted make it big with everything to be special on this occasion but here came a big blow for the whole plan. My sister didn't know what to do. She had high hopes on her D-day and was really excited. Now, my bro-in-law was very adamant and did not accept the pompous marriage. He also cited some examples that people in India were wasting time and money in the form of marriages and this should be curbed seriously which was why he was averse to that. Actually he is working in an NGO in north India and he told that there were many girls why actually do not have the privelage to do a decent marriage.

Now what can my sister say to this. She was silent and I thought 'Okay, now my sister's marriage will take place in a Register office'. That thought was cool as I had never witnessed any real marriage in a register office or in a police station but only in reel marraiges. This time I was excited for my sister's D-day. Nothing was decided and my bro-in-law went back to his work. Two months went by, nothing happened. One day, my sister came smiling and said that we can make arrangements for the engagement. Wow! was our reply to that. How did he accept??, a million dollar question actually. We asked her the same question hoping to get an answer. But she said only one thing, wait and see. Date was fixed for the engagement and invitations were printed for the engagement. Everything was going fine. My sister bought sarees, designer blouses...etc everything that fits in for a marriage. The day came. It was a sunday and the engagement was in our house only.

We decorated our house and everyone came, except the groom and his parents. We were all very anxious as what may have happened. Actually everything was done in accordance with my bro-in-law's parents' wishes. We called them and they said they will be there in 5 mins. My sister was really beautiful in maroon designer saree with all the matching accessories. I can see the happiness in her eyes. In 5 mins, a car halted in front of our house. My parents, aunt and uncle went to receive them. My parents came inside with the groom and their parents. You should have seen my bro-in-laws surprised face that day. He didn't even know that this was his engagement till he entered our house and the twist is we didn't know that he doesn't know it. This was all well planned by my sister and my Bro-in-law's parents.

They wanted to surprise him and yes they did it very well. He was ignorant about his own engagement. The fact that he had very less number of friends worked well for them. So there was no chance of telling him. My parents apologized him after the function. But he was still in daze. The function went on very well but he was not much ready for the function and so he was rather silent. We thought that he may be angry on my sister for not telling anything though she was talking to him everyday on call. All ended happily. Everybody went home eating the dinner and at last our family and their family were left. My bro-in-law called my sister and they went outside to a nearby park. I was sent behind them by my mother as she was afraid that something may happen. Now, I becam
