Before writing my article, I would like to ask you two questions. The first question which I would like to ask you is that do you believe in God? and my second question is how many of you believe that God exists all around us? OK, I have got the answer and what I am going to write now is basically with the second question which I asked you above my friends. Sometimes we expect something more from the almighty and to an extent blame Him for not being with us in our bad times. The story which I am going to tell you now basically related with this theme.

Once there was a small village which got unfortunately flooded with the monsoon floods and all the villagers were in deep trouble. The water was whirling and swirling and seemed to wash away everything that seem to came in its way. Houses and huts, fields and farms all got washed away. Moreover, cows, buffaloes, sheep's all got swept away with the running water. The villagers had nothing left to survive there so they went away from that village to somewhere else where they could lead a safe life. But due to this massacre a group of people, who took refuge on the top of a high roof could not find a way to move away from that village as they were surrounded by water all around.

Days after days passed like this and nothing seemed to work out for them and they were without food and water for several days. They were perhaps counting the last days of their life which would soon come to an end. But one fine day a fisherman was passing from there sailing with his boat on the river and he saw those people almost half dying.

He took pity on them and at once tried to help them out. He asked them to come into his boat so that he could take them to a proper place and save them from dying. Everyone boarded the boat except for a man. The fisherman asked him to join them but he refused him saying that God will come to rescue him. The fisherman bade him and requested him but he rejected him thrice.

So the fisherman went away with the remaining men and that man was left alone. In the mean time he died and went to the next world. In the next world, when he met God and asked him why he didn't come to rescue him out of the danger. God replied, "I went to help you but it was you who didn't took my help, remember the fisherman asking you thrice to come along with him, now you yourself is to be blamed for this.!".

So the lesson from this story is this that God is always there with us in the form of our parents, teachers, friends or a simple man but we should have that sense in us to recognize him for he could come to us for our rescue anytime. It is just that we need to have that strength in us to recognize him.
