*King- poor beggar

Inspiring story

It is an inspiring story that took eighty years back at Mysore.

It was Dasara festival.

Mysore Maharaja (king) went through the steers of the city.

The royal chariot moved slowly.

People greeted him and received gifts from his hands.

Beggar bowl

There was a beggar in the crowd.

He struggled and pushed forward with his clay bowl. It continued a handful of rice. He thought of getting some gifts from the king.

``Lord, give me something, I am hungry’’, cried the beggar.

The king looked at him with compassion and spoke to him in a soft voice, ``Give me something first’’. The beggar was confused and worried. 11What to give to the king! He thought. But the king repeated his request.

The beggar took a single grain of rice from his bowl and placed in king’s hand. The king placed a piece of gold, which is as big as the single grain of rice in the beggar’s bowl.

Much for more

`` I am a fool’’ whispered the beggar. ``Why didn’t I give all the rice I had? He regretted.

If the bigger had given more rice, the king also would have given him more gold. The more we give, the more we get. It is a natural process.

The beggar did not have a big heart; so he gave a small grain of rice.

Helping is a good habit. Help to poor and handicapped. God help to you with bless.
