In the past, it was very, very difficult to travel from one place to the another place. The journeys were often very, very dangerous. Tiring. Today it has changed. Nowadays Travelling has become safer, more enjoyable and above all, more economical. Travelling-whether within one’s country or abroad-brings many invaluable benefits. People travel for pleasure, business or for education and getting knowledge. We travel to increase our knowledge of the world we live in. Knowledge obtained only from books alone is not enough. First-hand information of different lands and people enriches our mind and soul.

Different races have different ways of life. It is good for us to know our own customs and traditions, but it is even better to know the culture and ways of life of other people. Travelling will promote greater friendship among nations.  International friendship is very important. Man’s survival depends on it.

When we visit other countries we become ambassadors of our own. We not learn about other countries, but we also show others a little of our own. How we behave ourselves, how we talk and the attitude we adopt will show other people what rour country stands for and what its people are like. There is no better way to advertise one’s country.

Travelling also broadens our mind. We see new things and we learn new things. When we come home finally, we are able to look at ourselves and the world around us with greater insight and understanding. We are able to appreciate how wonderful the world really is.
