Once there lived a couple named Saravanan and Sangeetha. They had a son named Pandian. They happily lived in a cosy little house. Pandian never respect for his father's words. Pandian was one who most pride and arrogant boy. At him, his father's actions did not work. He did not change his attitudes. His father had one of the old-fashioned whistle. He used to play the whistle when nobody was there in the house. One day, Pandian was noticed that. He was expecting for a chance to play the whistle. One day his father had to go out to get a household things.

Here was his chance to play the whistle. He was excited and play the whistle. The best sound had come from it. He played the whistle for 3 times. Suddenly a troll appeared before Pandian. He was frightened at his sight. The troll said loudly, "What work do you assign me? I want work. Hurry up. Give me work I am your slave." Pandian was so frightened that he could not think of any work.

He saw the garden and told the troll to plant the plants. The troll had planted too many plants. He had planted the plants in home also. Home and garden seemed like shrubs. The insects and snakes emerged from it. Pandian got scared when seeing it. Again the troll asked for the work. Pandian asked to remove all the plants from the garden and the home. The troll removed all the plants from the garden and the home.

Again the troll asked for the work. Pandian asked to brought food. The troll brought a large amount of food which was filled up the whole home. Even sitting place was not available for Pandian. Pandian was the hatred. I did not want any slave. You can leave me. He asked the troll.

The troll was never heard his words. Just then the father of Pandian (Saravanan) returned back to home. When he saw the troll, he at once understood what must have happened.

His father played the whistle again. As soon as he played the whistle, the troll disappeared. He was quite pleased and did not punish him.

However, he told him never play the whistle again. Pandian had already learnt a lesson and he promised that he would not play the whistle again.

Then he listened to his father's words. They lived a very, very happy life. Children, Listen the words of father and mother. It is good for your future life.
