Swelling Swetha & Red boy Ram
Swetha has something strange on her hand. In the portion of her wrist, there is a big swelling. It wasn't there last night. She is absolutely sure about that. She decided to rub it. But it is still there. She walks to his mummy. She shows her hand to her mummy. 'Mummy, look.' She points with his finger at the big swelling. 'What is that? says Mummy.
She turns Swetha around and look at her back 'You've got more on your back. I think some insect may bite you. 'Insect.'. She starts to get a bit scared. You are a little bit ill, Mummy says. No worries my dear. We can go to the doctor immediately. He will give some ointment and medicine. Then the swellings will disappear from your body. Swetha isn't sure at all....
Sometime later Ram, Swetha's big brother, comes in. Ram thinks it is quite funny. He was making fun of her. Ram starts laughing loudly at her little sister. Swetha doesn't find it funny at all.
Mummy and Swetha went to the clinic. The doctor gave some special ointment. Mummy had applied at her for seven days.
Every morning Swetha looks at herself in the large mirror in the bathroom. After about a week almost all the spots have gone. She was so happy about it.
Then Ram enters the bathroom. 'Good morning, Swelling Swetha,' he says. Swetha pretends not to hear him. But what does Swetha see there on her brother's back? It is full of small red spots. What are you doing? asks Ram angrily. Swetha can hardly keep herself from smiling.
Swetha started to call him as a Red boy Ram.
Ram went to his mother and showed the red spots. I think you may have chicken pox. She said 'It doesn't hurt,' she says comfortingly. 'You will just look a bit funny for a couple of days. Then the spots will disappear by themselves. No worries my dear. I will apply a Neem leaves paste for you. It will cure soon.
The next day Ram is covered with red spots,They are on his arms, his legs, his tummy and his face. He tries to wash them off with water. But the little spots stay. After about week ago all spots of Ram got disappeared. Ram was so happy when seeing himself in the large mirror in the bathroom.
Red spots and swelling got disappeared to both of them. But they have not forgotten the incident. Ram always used to call Swetha as 'Swelling Swetha' and likewise Swetha called Ram as 'Red boy Ram'. They have enjoyed themselves when calling like that.
