Introduction

It is quite natural to remember the first day at school, as it was very special moment for us. It is the dream of every parent to see their child going to school. My parent also did the same. However, my mother first decided to send me to school. I was of school going age. When my mother discussed with my father of sending me to school I was very disturbed and thought that it is my playtime now and my mom is behaving rudely with me. She has so hurry to send me to school. I was bit angry with my mom. However, my mother decision was final. School was not new to me, as I have seen many elders of my family to go to school. However, I was afraid of the environment and atmosphere of the school as it was totally unknown for me.

About the school

I went to the school with my parents. It was totally unknown place for me. The school was very near to my house. One could reach there by walking. I caught hold of my father's hand tightly. The school was very big. When I entered the school campus I was quiet nervous. The school building was surrounded with high walls, in one corner of the school there was a big playground. On the other hand, I found a swimming pool. I could not find any children in the school. May be the class was going on. I could only notice few teacher moving here and there inside the campus. The place was very calm and quiet. I went inside the principal room with my parents and the principal gave a smile and welcome my father. My father was once the student of that school. The principal was quiet aged and her behavior was very polite. My father talked with her and told her to admit me in the school. The principal gave a sheet of paper later I came to know that it was a form where we have to fill all details of the student. My father filled the form and I was enrolled as a student of that school.

My experience

My father purchased new school uniform, Tiffin box, water bottle, pencil box with all material inside the box, school bag and books and copies. The next day I get up in the morning and my mother prepared me for the school. My father carried me to the school. When I reached the school, the teacher asked my father to leave my hand and my father outside the gate left me. The teacher escorted all the children inside the school campus. No parents were allowed inside the school campus. I was very afraid, as I never stay apart from my parents. I missed my father. I was about to cry. Last, I could not hold my tears, started to cry loudly, and requested the teacher to send me back to my father. I found many children were crying and demanding the same thing from the teacher. However, the teacher did not listen to any one and taken the entire child in the classroom. The teacher did not lose any patience instead treat every child like its own children. There were many teachers to handle the children. It is not possible for one teacher to handle the entire student. One of the teachers tried very hard to cool down me. I was crying. Somehow, the teacher managed to stop me. My feelings soothed by seeing the generous behavior of the teacher. The headmistress approach very near to me and make me understand not to cry. The class teacher came and took us to our classroom. The bell rang and the class began. The teacher took introduction of every child. I also gave my introduction. The teacher was very pleased with me.

About the class

The school was very big. There were many classrooms for each standard. My classroom was on the ground floor. The room was very airy and benches were arranged in rows. In each row, there is a gap of two people. I took my seat in the third bench. I found one more girl took the seat beside me. In one bench, only two people are allowed to sit. The bell rang and I could not understand why there is a ring of the bell. The teacher told us that the period was over and it was the end of one period. I found another teacher entered the classroom and most of the children stand up. I also stand up by seeing them. Later the teacher told that whenever any teacher enters the classroom we should stand up. The teacher did not teach us anything, as it was our first day. Only same introduction part was going on. In addition, she just taught us some nursery rhymes. In this way the period was over and the teacher told us that it is the break time and we can have our tiffin. I took out my tiffin box and share it with the girl who sat beside me. Before that, she and I became very good friends. After having our tiffin we both rush to the playground and played a lot. The terror vanished from my inside. The bell rang and we returned to our classroom and took our seat.

Two classes were held after the tiffin break. The teacher came inside the class and told us to say some stories. I narrated the fairy tale, which I often heard from my mom. the teacher was very happy with me. Then the period was over and another teacher came and that was our last period. It was drawing period. The teacher called me up to the blackboard and told me to draw anything, which I liked. I can draw the bird easily as my mom taught me. In addition, I took the chalk and started to draw the bird. The teacher patted me on my back and gave a smile. I was sent back to my seat. Every student drew whatever he or she knows. The period was very interesting. The period ended with the ring of the bell. The entire student took their bag and rushed to the playground. My friend and I also rushed to the playground. We had to stand in a queue according to our class. In addition, the teacher called out the names of the student whose guardians are waiting for them. I was called by my name and found that my mother was waiting outside the gate for me. I ran towards my mother. I was very happy to see her. I introduce her to my new friend. I also told her what I did the whole day in school. I also told my mom about the kind and generous behavior of the teachers.

Conclusion

My first day at school was very memorable for me and I feel very proud to discuss such memorable and pleasant moment with others.
