A good house

One of the most precious gifts of God is the family. Your family takes care of you, loves you, no matter what.

Our parents, brothers, sisters and other family member do their best to make us happy. They constantly encourage us and guide us.

All of us feel protected in our families.

A brother’s love

Revati, a seven years old girl was swinging in the park. She was thinking about her ten year old brother Arun. She was angry at him.

``He is so mean’’, she thought to herself. He always teased her and called her a `big baby’. At the breakfast table today, he made fun of her and laughed aloud.

In her anger she pulled back on the ropes which made swing fly higher and higher. The cool breeze brushed against her cheeks.

The swing carried her up high that she could see for miles. It was fun looking at the farmyard below.

Her red sweater flashed brightly in the morning sunlight. She stopped thinking about being mad at her brother and started to sing.

On a distant hill behind the swing, a huge bull with long sharp horns watched the red sweater flashing in the sunlight. Ready to charge he lowered his massive head. Soon he began running across the field towards the sweater he saw swinging back and forth.

Meanwhile Arun who was nearby, looked out and saw his little sister on the swing ``Sister are a pain in the neck,’’ he thought.

Then suddenly he saw a bull charging across the field, heading straight for his sister. Without a second thought, Arun screamed on loudly as he could, ``luck out behind you! Get out of there! Run.’’

His sister did not near him. She just kept singing and swinging. The bull was halfway across the field and closing in fast.

Arun’s heart pounded. It was now or never. He ran, jumped the fence and asked dashed towards his sister. He ran faster than he had ever run before.

Grabbing one of the ropes, Arun jerked the swing to a stop, pushed his sister sideways to the ground only a second before the bull changed at the place she had been. Revati let out a terrified scream. The bull turned around and charged again.

Swiftly, Arun pulled off the red sweater from Revati and threw it far away. The bull followed it and ripped the sweater to pieces. Arun carried his sister safely home.

Revati never forget that Dy.

She understands that brother loved her very much. He risked his life for her. From then on, she just laughed whenever Arun called her a `big baby’.
