The story of Michael
Michael was a poor shepherd. He lived with his wife, Isabel in a cottage. Their cottage was on the top of a hill. Both the husband and wife worked hard. They worked on their land, and looked after their sheep.
He lived happily with his wife. But he had no child.
God blessed with him a son in the old age time.
The son name was Luke. That son brought new hope into the life of his old parents.
He grew up into a handsome boy. Luke was an obedient son. Luke helped his father in his work. Now they were a vey happy family. But a sudden misfortune came in their family when Luke was eighteen years old.
Michael had a nephew. This nephew had borrowed some money from a moneylender. He had stood surety for him. Unluckily nephew died after some time. So he had to pay back the debt.
But he had no money to pay. He said to his son, `` you must go to the city to do some work for earn money. We will pay back the debt.’’
His son said, ``Okay father don’t be sad. I do work hard and earn a lot of money. You can then pay beck the amount.
``God bless you, my son!’’ said father. `` But keep away from the evil things of the city. Be a good boy, my son. God see all. God help you’’. And then Luke left for the city.
After some tie Michael got good reports about his son. But then the boy forgot the advice of his father. He fell into bad Company. He did many shameful acts. The police was after him. He had to run away to another country.
All hopes of Michael came to nothing. He died broken-hearted. After some time Isabel also died. Their cottage, sheep and land passed into the hands of the moneylender.
Moral of this is Friendship with good friends, avoid company.
