It all kicked off at 8 in the morning with the SMS from a friend of mine which read as , " hi, gm, test today, u prepared?". Now what was i supposed to be prepared for? I quickly retorted and inquried for the subject. See, that's what happens when you don't attend college regularly. Anyway it was all settled and I was on my way for the class test on M2. M2 stands for Mathematics 2, which was the subject for the test.

I was late for the test by 5 minutes and the teacher had already started writing questions on blackboard. My understanding of English is not that bad though but the questions  were challenging my wisdom. Finally, i began jotting them down so that i could avoid embarrassment of giving blank paper. Now, Engineering Mathematics is not a favorite subject of the horde of future engineers , but we still find ways to circumvent this perilous adventure. Whatever, after all I always dreamed to be an engineer.

Coming back to test, I locked horns with every question and tried tooth and nail to find some logic work but all was in vain. Down in the dumps i looked around for help but only to find myself lonesome. They say, the best brains of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics pursue engineering, but it seemed every one's intelligence had deserted them. Apart from one or two, everybody else looked like having sour stomachs. Then I turned my attention to the guy sitting beside me. I took a glance to see what he was doing. To my disbelief, he was drawing a portrait of a beautiful girl sitting a couple of rows ahead. It amazes me that how engineers are proficient in finding solution to curvilinear equations even with droplets of knowledge and no boundary conditions given. I wonder if professor will realize the need for giving appropriate questions in order to have a solution, even a conclusion. At least that guy was doing something to be appreciated. This might be the story of most of them in the class. But still there might be some who had the audacity of solving the questions that were actually written on the blackboard. As for us, these guys need a helping hand.

The story so far must have given you the idea that how was my test. It is the story of majority of the students who fail to strike the right balance because of their inability to prioritize the time at hand and use it both ways. If there is a lesson to be learnt , you are old enough to learn it and hence need not be mentioned. Where would you spot me in the campus is also not a Herculean task. Because we have made it to the same institute through the same admission process, there is hardly any difference in our capabilities and the students who got the best of the things. The point is we do not understand this simple thing and find ourselves in direstraights . so wake up and don't be the next person to write this stuff five years down the line.

As for me, and my test. It all ended like an Alfred Hitchcock thriller when the professor spotted me doing things which i was not supposed to do. He threw me out of the class which was possibly the worst thing that could have happened to me. And the misery continued......
