Cindy
Cindy was 24 years old when she came to this hilly place. She had come here as a tourist but was so lost in the beauty and peace of hills that she decided to come here again and again. Whenever she had a vacation, she tried to arrange visa to visit this place. She enjoyed trekking and white water rafting. Once when she was on the raft, suddenly it got upside down in the river water. Cindy's head was hit by a rock in the river and then after that she found herself lying on the bed in the hospital.
A man with french cut beard was sitting besides her. Later she came to know from the rafting company that he was Naresh, a school teacher who had got her out from river while she was drowning. She had the head injury and had been unconcious for more than two hours. In the meantime all her diagnostic tests like CT scan, MRI were over and didn't exhibit anything life threatening, however there was big wound on the forehead but it wasnot involvng any injury to the skull.
She was impressed with Naresh and was so grateful to him for the help. After finding Cindy in relief he went away with the instructions to the staff of rafting company to keep him informed about Cindy's health untill she recovers fully.
After discharge from the hospital, Cindy was back in the hotel, she had booked for stay during her vacation. She wanted to meet and thank Naresh for his timely help as she couldn't at that time. She telephoned the rafting company to know about his address.She was happy to know that Naresh used to live on about 5 Km away from her hotel.
She tried to talk to him on phone but the call couldn't be connected even after repeated attempts. She hired the hotel car next evening and went to meet him at his home. The driver stopped the car at the gate but she was surprised to see a big crowd of people in the courtyard of Naresh's house. People there were looked very sad and voices of crying and weeping could be heard coming from inside of the house.
Cindy was shocked to know that man who saved her life had met an accident last night. Due to break fail, the car went down from the hilly road into the downside flowing river. There was nobody to rescue him, His body was recovered today morning from the dam. She felt like an orphan in this place after coming to know that her rescuer couldn't be rescued.
