A story.................

Kittu came back with the tight ring..........

Kittu was the little cat that used to live besides Raman's home. She often used to roam in his garden and whenever she found a way, never hesitated to penetrate inside the kitchen too. She was never afraid of the presence of big St. Bernard dog, Tambo too. Tambo also had become her friend. Many a times, both could be seen playing together. Raman's mom was also happy to offer milk and other food items to Kittu. Kittu was not their pet but was like a pet with no restrictions to stay in the cage. She was independent to roam around anywhere she liked.

Raman was on tour to Bombay for a month for his job assignment. When he came back, mom told him that she hadn't seen Kitty anywhere since many weeks. She tried to search everywhere but couldn't find her out.  Raman was shocked to hear as he felt quite attached to her. He had a cup of tea and then went out to look for Kittu but returned empty handed. There was no clue with anyone where she had gone.

Next morning he went to the local newspaper office and arranged for an advertisement with Kittu's photo that he had clicked while playing with Tambo. He also announced a prize of 20,000 rupees for the person who will tell him about Kittu's where abouts. Town's cable network also showed the news about Kittu on television appealing everyone to help him find out Kittu.

About three months had passed but nothing could be made out except for guessing that Kittu might have fallen prey to stray dogs or some leopard.

Raman and his mom missed Kittu but now were convinced that they will not be able to see her again. While sipping the cup of tea in the lawn he heard Tambo's bark. He moved further to see what is there in the garden that made Tambo bark. He saw a  very weak looking cat coming to Tambo. This cat once again refreshed his memories of Kittu. He walked forward to see her closely and was surprised when this cat licked his feet. He was so happu to see that Kittu was back.

Raman lifted Kittu with his hand but she cried badly in pain. Raman could see that there was a wire tightly holding her belly in a small ring. It had pierced round into her abdomen. Next morning she was taken to the veterinary hospital where this tight ring of wire could be removed. Raman returned back home with Kittu in the evening from the hospital and was now caring for her.

An year has passed since then and Kittu is healthy again but none knows where she had been and how she got that ring around her abdomen?
