A visit to a circus show
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls music, animal, conjuror, acrobats and of course clowns big and! Roll up, roll up! Was what I heard from and advertising car. This aroused a keen desire to see the circus show. I requested my father for same. He agreed and took us to the circus last Sunday. It was indeed a great happiness to me.
Entrance into the circus –
My brother stood in the line to buy the tickets. But for me every minute seemed like a year. After five minutes he came back and eventually entering the “Boy Top”. I found myself completely into a new and strange world. I was excited to see the glare of lights and gaily dressed band playing a martial tune. There were thousand of spectators sitting all around in rows. In the middle was saw-dust circle where the circus was o start.
Performance of animals-
Almost immediately the horses entered controlled by robust persons with a long cracking whip. They ran on hind legs making a chain by putting their front legs on the backs of the other horses. They ran on hind legs making a chain by putting their front legs on the backs of the other horses. They were followed by two bears that paddled bi-cycles and threw balls. Then came the roaring lions. On the instruction of trainer they sat on the stools, did strange things. After this an elephant named jumbo showed a head stand on a strong stool. Never before had I seen animals do lie all this.
The acrobats –
The animals were followed by other men and artist. Some of them did amazing feat on the one wheeled bi-cycles. After it was performed the most exhilarating display of swinging. Man seemed to fly through the air. They turned somersaults in swinging. After it a man in the black hat and black suit greeted us. He showed wonderful magic.
The clowns-
But most of all I was delighted to see the clowns. They were putting on ridiculous dresses. They were always making funny jokes. They pretended to know every thing but every time they failed in doing even simple things. They fell down from the bi-cycles they went up joyfully to swing but came in the very first attempt, Ha! Ha! How they made us laugh.
After seeing the breath taking feats of the circus, I was filled with the ambition of doing the same tricks. When the show was over, I went home in a daze of wonder and too full of spirit. A new planet had swum into my ken.
