Teezon and swing- cradles traditions
This was Teezon on Sunday the 22 July the traditional festival for ladies in some parts of country. This is a festival of joy for most ladies but costs dearly to men as the demands come in thick and fast. I got away easy comparatively as I spent only INR 4k, a sari did the trick for me. Let me tell you the way most ladies celebrate it. They paint their hands and feet with henna the previous night, although this is an old style but modern women go to professionals sitting on either the roadsides or beauty parlors. They spend some real good money for preparing for the big day.
Swings on trees in parks
Teezon, celebrated mostly on swings on big trees singing songs with friends in parks is the main attraction of the day after the usual fast and worshiping in traditional way. As trees disappearing fast from the cities, the swings mostly have been limited to personal gardens or balconies but every one enjoys them the same old style. While women do it for fun and joy, children find this very interesting and become the part of the festival. This swing would take you back to olden days when ladies used to have a full-fledged go swings in parks where swings were available at trees with women swinging with Sawan songs for hours together amid the drizzle. I have seen such swings in big houses with all kind of decoration including fancy cushions etc.

These are easy to fix because you can easily fix them any where in your balcony, lawn or garden. Most manufacturers are using wrought iron for framework because it is light and easy to carry. The swing part is mainly comprises cane or knitted material. People today are going such designer swings according to their choice. These swings are available in branded or non-branded verities according to your budget.
