Management of life is most important

You know I always used to think about a particular point during my working days, it’s not that I am not working now but those were my regular working days when I was cut off from myself and was busy with my job and family only. I never had any time for myself. Work, work and nothing else but work, that was my permanent routine.

Then it happened suddenly, I decided to spare some time for myself only. I decided to give-up every thing related to work. No more office or job, just me and my family and as I had no liability as such because my only child was well settled therefore this was not much of a problem for me.

This is all about searching our own self

I recall the book I read in 2009 ‘The monk who sold his Ferrari’ a rich advocate who had every thing and could afford to live very lavishly but too busy earning money and had no time for himself. Once he fell ill seriously inside a courtroom while making arguments in front of a judge he had a stroke and that changed his life. He decided to change his life style after giving it a deep thought. He was simply eager to know the exact reason of him being so busy with earning money and not enjoying the life.

There are number of people who are living almost the same without thinking about themselves and living life just to make money despite having every thing. I know some people spending twelve to sixteen hours earning money, doing jobs, which do not attract them a bit, but they keep on doing it like a robot and that too when most of them can do without doing the same. They are least worried about their hobbies, health or priorities in their lives.

I remember my own incident when I decided to ‘call it a day’ way back in 2009 I had too many issues in my mind, which were disturbing me and not letting me concentrate on my job. That was it, I decided to quit and go to where there was no mobile network, no newspaper and no work pressure whatsoever. Haridwar, my favorite place where I have been to time and again for a day or two but this was going to be a bit different. I had planned to stay there for longer duration. I wanted to know and live for myself this time around, away from every link that connected me with outer world.

The younger generation is wiser in this respect as they take a break from time to time from heir work and go out to take a break after a tiring routine that is demand of the day. They are right, the work pressure of the present day work environment is so tedious for body and mind that it generates lots of stresses to send one into state of ‘stress burnout’ therefore this is absolutely must to take regular break from the work and go to relax yourself.

That is management of body and mind when we cut ourselves off from outer world and try to know about our own priorities of life. This is better to stay in a place where we are exposed to nature, which make us feel totally a different person from the one we usually are while in our regular routine job. People find it altogether different and refreshed when they come back to work entirely rejuvenated and ready to take the bull by the horn. Although I preferred to stay out of a regular job despite remaining busy almost as much as before but according to my own choice and will.

This is not age related

Trust me this is nothing to do with aged people only but most young professionals are feeling the heat of the lifestyle and busy schedules, which are burning them out. I have seen some college students on different tours those were in search of peace after having done studies, movies, partying and other such activities. They were looking to a place where they would not find any thing to indulge in any such activity but stay calm and cool, doing nothing.

I know this is human psychology to indulge in some new activities once they feel their present job too monotonous and eating them up. They want to do some thing new, different from run of the mill type. They want to have some new experiences of life and some of them have really changed entirely after going through such experiences. They have even changed their field of profession that suits them better than their previous jobs.

I must refer to the person here who is selling flowers and Prasad on the roadside on way to Vaishno Devi. I would not disclose his identity but he is a management graduate who held a good post in Delhi in a big multinational company. He is happy and satisfied with his present life in every aspect including peace of mind and money. He is only thirty-five years old so one cannot call him old and tired but only the matter of satisfaction.

The fact is when some one starts afresh in his life with a new profession, new environment and totally cutoff from his old routine, he simply thinks in a different way with a new experience every day. He even thinks about his hidden desires, which he always wanted to do but was not able to fulfill due to his busy schedule. However this is not a common practice but happens occasionally and rarely.

Meditation is one good way to keep fit and fine

There is a very famous meditation center in my area just about one hundred kilometers away in Saharanpur district of UP called Mokshayatan International Yogashram (This is not a promotional destination please) here people come from allover the world in search of peace and experiencing the power of meditation.

Most of them admit that they leave the center as a different person after following the lifestyle of this center. The life style of the center is altogether different from the city life that we are generally used to. Therefore, the change in schedule and life style in such places changes and rejuvenates us from tip to toe.
