Delaying gratification is what this term is called. Delaying Gratification means keeping the rewards for the end, so that you have a purpose to do the entier work. If you take the rewards before the work is complete you will feel sad and unhappy for do the pending task.
Delaying gratification is a very important thing when it comes to anything in our life, right from our childhood to our death we should master this skill to be sucessful and happy in life.
If a worker picks all the light boxes in the earlier part of his duty, he will be left with the heavy boxes for the end of the day. He is already tiered and there is nothing easy left to be done for him. However had he worked hard and picked all the heavy boxes first when he was fresh and had the strength in the beginning of the day, he would have been tired but the rest of the day would have become a lot easier for him as there is just a few light boxes left to be moved. With this thought, he would have managed to do the entier day and end on a happy note.

The same is done in a new marriage, Honeymoon roaming, partying all these are the easy bits of marriage, And as soon as they are over one is left with nothing else to look forward to . Had one invested time and energy in understanding family difficulties and things that need to be put in place for a functional house hold. One has the entier life to go on tours and shopping as everything else is already taken care. But we all finish the happy part and stretch it to extensive levels, untill it looses all its charm and then find ourselves with arguments and disagreements that distroy the little left
