With so many social networking websites, the world?s becoming smaller and
smaller. Instead of facing our cheque-book we're busy checking our facebook
and instead of listening to the sparrows tweet outside our window, we're
tweeting on twitter :)

Thats me and my joke for you. I know, kill me!

But jokes apart, if we're all resolving to do something great for ourselves
with the onset of this new year, why forget our city?! Don't mean to sound
preachy (praachi ki behan, it is joke!) but lets take up one small
initiative at a time and fix whatever we can in our city, in Mumbai. I've
begun with "Save the sparrow" initiative. Nope, we don't need sparrows in
Gujarat just because they look cute and sound sweet. We need them because
every living thing is an important part of the ecosystem and the absence of
any one leads to a perfect imbalance!

Meanwhile, put out a bowl of water/ bajra/ broken rice for those tweety lil
things that come outside your window everyday. Even better, get a small lil
bird-house from sparrowshelter and chirp along with them.

This new year along with me, resolute to give a bird family a HOME :)
