Pacific ocean, Atlantic ocean and Indian ocean are the 3 main oceans of the world.

Pacific Ocean is the ocean that stretches from the Artic circle to the Antartica and from East Asia to the United States of America. It is the world' s largest and the oldest ocean. It covers 45% area of our planet. It has an average depth of 4000 meters to 4200 meters i.e 4 - 4.5 kilometers. The deepest point of this ocean is the "Mariana Trench" which is approx is 10-11 kilometers deep. The marine life of the ocean is very healthy and it consists of white sharks, salt water crocodiles, stone fish, blue whales etc.

Atlantic Ocean is the worlds second largest ocean. It stretches from West Africa to the United States and from Artic circle to the Antartica. It covers approximately 22% of Earth's surface. The deepest point is Puerto Rico Trench which is 8.6 kms in depth. There are a very wide range of animals that live in the Atlantic ocean. Some of these are fish, whales, sharks, dolphins, seals, lobsters and hermit crabs.

Indian Ocean is the third largest ocean of the world. It stretches from India to the Antartica and from Africa to Australia. The average depth of this ocean is 3.8 kms. Its deepest point is the Java Trench which is 7.12 kms in depth. The Indian Ocean is home to many wildlife species and animals, many of which live in the ocean's abundant coral reefs. Sea turtles, venomous sea snakes, thirteen species of sharks, moray eels, giant lobsters, tropical fish and whales are just a few examples of Indian Ocean marine life.
