Evergreen forests

Ever green forests protect the environment. We want forest developments big to big very big, great forest in more area. It is easily impossible to plants more trees. It is in our hand. Rain is well rains and some benefits from these us and same from the forests.

Zaire is a land of thick dense forest. The climate in this region is favorable for the growth of forests. Such forests are called as evergreen forest because they remain green throughout the year. The trees are tall grows up to a height of 50 meters.

The trees like oil palm, cinchona, sandal wood, bamboo and cane grow here extensively. Shrubs and bushes also grow thickly. A large number of creeps climb up the trees. The two important factors of bright sunshine and heavy rainfall are responsible for the growth of dense forest in Zaire. Thick forest covers about half of the land in Zaire.

Zaire is well known for its animal wealth. Large numbers of monkeys, butterflies and birds are found here. Monkey of various kinds like chimpanzees and gorillas take shelter in these dense forests. We also find the reptiles like snakes and pythons in large numbers. Crocodiles can be seen in rivers, lakes and ponds. The jungles are an abode of the hippopotamus and rhinoceros. Herds of elephants and buffaloes move about freely. Peacocks and parrots add to the beauty of the place. As we find different kinds of birds and animals, Zaire is called the natural zoo of the world.

The people of Zaire are tall and stout. They are dark in complexion. Their hair is curly and short. The people of Zaire live in villages. The villages are located along the river sides and shores of lakes. These houses here are built with bamboos and oil palm leaves.

Environment on earth

With the all progress science had made, it has added to many evils also. Forests which provide green cover and help in a delicate balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in environment are decreasing very fast to human greed.

Factories are releasing dangerous gases like carbon dioxide, Sulphur oxide and other waste gases into air. These gases are very harmful for the health of man. Chemical wastes are released into rivers and lakes from the factories which make water unfit for human consumption. These chemicals also kill fish and other animals in water. With more use of medicines of crop protection like DDT, BHC, the seeds and fruits also become unfit for human consumption.

Man is using air, water, coal, petrol and other minerals at a very fast rate. Coal, petrol and many other minerals are exhaustible. These are to be persevered for the coming generations.

Science has contributed a lot for developing deadly weapons, like poisonous gases, chemical weapons, and nuclear bombs. These can bring destruction, death and misery. You know how much destruction these bombs can use. The after-effects of these bombs are still there in the form of deformities and diseases in the persons affected by their radiations. It is assumed that the two superpowers, USA affected by their radiations. It is assumed that some of the powerful nations have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the earth in no time.

We have learnt that science has contributed a lot to the comforts of man but due to greed man has used science to bring miseries to the mankind. Man should not allow science to become his master. It should remain servant of man.
