Number of sparrows getting less in urban areas.
I have grown up staying in mumbai whenever i used to sit at home i saw sparrows near or at my window . Sparrows used to make nest at near one of the windows and always had fun seeing the young one of sparrows growing but from some months or so i see very rarely . I never paid attention to them but from some days i am feeling they are appearing less and the number of sparrows are getting less and might be they are vanishing from mumbai . This might be also seen in other urban cities. The number of small sized birds in urban areas are getting lesser and lesser day by day.
There are various reasons for the number of sparrows getting less in urban areas. Some of the main reasons have been the cutting down of trees and forests which are natural habibat of birds. The increasing use of infecticides, chemical fertilizers are also one of the reason for the vanishing of such birds .One of the other reason of number of sparrows getting less can be birds like crow who eat anything like garbage and also eat eggs of birds. They destroy the nestlings of birds which harms the growth of small birds . The massive development of infrastructure like buildings, roads , fly-overs etc have lead to over increase of cutting of trees and forests.One of the other reason may be pollution that may be troubling the birds and other animals.
A lot of studies are been done to protect the depletion of different animals and different birds. Lot of birds die due to industrial pollution. There has been a transfer of lot of birds from city areas to villages and other places of good environment which may be due to birds looking out for a place with good environment and for trees or forests which provides them shelter. There needs to be a awareness created among the people to save the depletion of such birds.
Birds can only be save from depletion or extinction from a certain place if certain steps are taken . There has been a history of extinction of animals like dinosaurs and so there should be certain steps taken to save the endanger species of birds. There should be a control on cutting down of trees and forests as they are the main habitat for birds. People should take steps to grow more amount of trees.During summer reason people should try to provide birds with water they should try to keep something filled with water near their windows so that birds can get water. People should try to provide some wooden boxes on trees in which sparrows can build their nest and save them from other big birds like crows. If sparrows builds nest at the windows of your home then a person must not destroy it and also try to save it from crows.
Birds form a important part of environment and it makes the surroundings look great and attractive. They should also have freedom to live like us.
