Introduction(Srisailam Wildlife sanctuary)
Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Sanctuary is the largest tiger reserve in India. This wildlife sanctuary is coming under five districts such as Nalgonda, Mahaboobnagar, Prakasam, Guntur and Kurnool. This wildlife century is mainly located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This wildlife century is discovered or founded in year 1978.In 1983 this wildlife sanctuary is declared as the largest Tiger Reserve in India. In the recent year the name of this wildlife sanctuary is changed to Rajiv Gandhi Wildlife sanctuary.
At the distance of 130 km from this wildlife sanctuary, Krishna river flow across this century. This wildlife sanctuary is known because there is a large number of reservoirs, Nagarjunasagar and Srisilam which is an important source of power generation and cultivating land. This place is full of varieties of temple and reservoirs that attract a lot of tourists to that place every year. This place is a home of various kinds of wildlife such as Tigers and leopard and some small animals like bears, Pigeons, sloth bears, hyena, jungle cats etc.

This place is full of various kind of plants and trees as well as some kinds of species too. Some of them are Pterocarpus marsupium, Hardwickia binate,Anogeissus latifolia, , Tectona grandis, Mandela superhero Cleisthanthus Collins, Terminalia species, , Boswellia serrata, Albizzia species.

This place is full of various kind of Wild animals as well as various kinds of birds Species. Some of them are Tiger, leopard, sloth bear, spotted deer, sambar, mouse deer, black buck, wild dog, Pangolin, chinkara, chausingha, cobra, mugger, python, peafowl.

During Summer season – Best month is between Middle of March and Middle of June.
During Winter season – Best month is between Middle of June and Middle of November.
During Rainy season - Best month is between Middle of November and Middle of February.
