Peacock is just found in few regions in India, why it should be national bird. crows are found everywhere. it helps India population to wake up, there is sense of we are alive at least / so why should peacock national bird of India, and why not crow.Crows are social workers too! There is a Hindu ritual after a person dies - first the family needs to get havan done in the house, so that the departed does not trouble anyone in the house or relatives. There are certain misconceptions visible here people following blindly :
1. All Brahmins are not priests. In one village of 5000 people hardly one priest can survive. Rest of Brahmins has no gain in the rituals and Brahmins themselves do the max rituals.
2. Unlike Islam or other religions Hindus never impose any ritual of themselves. Rituals are voluntary and no Brahmin even force anybody to those rituals for their dead
3. Professional fees for Priests were always on the discretion of the yajmaan unline 20% Zakat imposed on Muslims by force.
Under these circumstances its totally wrong to say rituals were made to enhance Brahmin business. It was missionary propaganda to demonizes Brahmins as Brahmins imposed intellectual challenge in their conversion business of mullahs and missionaries.Aurangzeb also targeted Brahmins more due to same reason.
Now question comes of logic behind rituals. To be fair to everybody, as rituals are claimed to be associated with liberation of soul, don’t you guys feel its intellectual dishonesty to claim about something you do not know?
How many of commentators above have ever bothered to learn the science of soul. Just like Matter, heat, kinetic energy, potential energy, light etc each form of energy has its own rules to liberate, same way the science of soul has its own rules.
Some soul scientists learnt , investigated and formulated laws and subject is open to further research as there are unlimited methods to liberate the soul unlike close-minded ideologies like `Islam is only true religion' or `Jesus is the only way".
Let's be reasonable, let's be intellectually honest and do some research before mocking some principle of any branch of knowledge.
