Now-a-days,  we often come across things which get us by surprise, though, at first, we cannot believe some of the things but as time passes on we believe it sooner or later. It has not been a while when the prices of vegetable and commodities rose to such an extent  that it took us by surprise and we never thought that it would rise to such an extent even in our dreams. Similarly,  I was very much surprised when I first  came to know from one of my best friends about the  Supermoon. At first,  I thought that he might be joking but than I had to believe him after a through investigation of the matter and I came to the conclusion  that yes, he was right.  

 Much is told and heard these days about Supermoon and its effects on our earth. The Supermoon is once again is expected to occur on 19th  March 2011. Everyone including the astrologers, scientists and the common people are very much curious and concerned about this natural phenomenon. There are mixed kind of reactions among humans for some believe that it should be feared and precautions should be taken while others believe that this thing is quite a natural phenomenon and we should just enjoy it.  

Now,  I am going to tell you what a what a Supermoon is. A Super moon is such a condition when the earth's satellite moon is in full moon shape and it is more than 90% closer to the earth. This phenomenon is also known as, perigee,  in scientific term. This is regarded as the largest perigee which is going to take place on 19th march 2011 and the moon will be just 356577 kilometres  away from the earth.   Some astronomers are of the opinion  that it will be accompanied with disasters like storms, earthquakes and volcanoes and some of them are even saying that it would be the end of the Earth but, relax, nothing to worry about for I am not writing this article  to scare you guys.

The important thing which counts is that  the Scientists are saying,  there is nothing to fear and  worry about as this phenomenon has occurred in the past in 1992, 1995, 1992 and 2005 and nothing has happened then so this time also it is not a serious issue. Besides there are another section of people who are having the opinion that the Tsunami which occurred in the past was a result of this phenomenon.  

So my view regarding all this is that we human beings have a tendency to relate one  incidence with other whether good or bad and if this thing called Super moon is happening on 19th of march,  we should see, feel and enjoy  it rather than getting scared and thinking negatives , for it will give us the chance to see the moon which would be then at the closest distance with the earth from so close.
