Importance of proper Hearing
For the proper development of your child, hearing plays an important role in his life. Hearing development is important because it helps your children throughout their lives. This skill is an important weapon for your children. Many children need good hearing skills so that they can properly respond to any person's question. If they have strong hearing skills, they can learn and understand many things easily. Hearing skills is not same in all children. Some are good listeners while others are bad listeners. The children with little hearing skills need to develop as a good listener. Practice can make any person perfect. It is the duty of every parent to encourage his child to become a good listener.
What do you understand by Auditory process?
This is a kind of process in which a child needs to properly catch the sentences spoken by some person before him. This auditory process is also known as listening skill. Why we say something? Because we want to send some spoken message to another person. If the person hears that word from another person, he posses strong Auditory skill. It is the duty of a parent to check the auditory skill of his children. If they find something wrong,they need to consult an Expert in hearing therapy.

When your children can properly catch correct sentences from others, they can easily live in this cruel world. If you want to respond to someone, you have to properly understand the text spoken by that person. Suppose that you are not a good listener and talk on a mobile phone. You cannot understand what the other person speaks and hence you can respond to him. It is really a difficult task to respond in such a condition. Children have to suffer in the same way as that person suffers while attending a telephone call. It affects their social relationship as well as they are not able to listen any lesson in their classroom too. Child suffers a lot in his classroom. He is not able to follow the instructions of teachers. Due to this drawback, your child may lose his confidence.
You need help your children so that they can regain their listening skill. You have to be careful regarding this matter. You have to do something so that their listening skill may improve. Otherwise your child may lose all his confidence. There are many clinics in India that are Expert and well trained. They can easily improve your child's listening skills to a higher level. Just consult them. This will really help your child to fight against his bad listening skills. After some days your child will be able to listen to you. This is possible only with strong will power. Try to become a role model for your children. Your child follows your path in his life. It is your duty to become a role model for your children in term of their listening. Properly respond to your child when he approaches you for some work. If you are engaged in other activities, take leave from that and responsd to your child. If you are actually busy in some work, you need to at least look at your child. Parents are expert in many fields. They case easily perform one or more work at one time like a computer. If you cannot respond to your child, how your child will know that you have head his words properly. Always give importance to your child's message. Make your child sure that his message is very important for you too. Try to become an excellent listener for your child. A child may learn the listening skill by following you.
Some of the activities that may improve your child Auditory Skills
Play some oral games with your child. Give your child some oral order such as- go there , come here, come to me etc. This can increase your child's listening skils. Check whether your child reacts properly to your message. If not, there might be some problem. Give certain time limitat for your oral game so that your child may react as fast as he can react.
Provide some important clues about the things placed in their surrounding. Order them to find that thing with the help of given clues. Check the accurate time taken by your child in response as well as the time taken to find that thing.
Play a question and answer game with your children. Ask any question with option and check the time taken by your child to solve a particular problem.
Keep two colors in opposite directions such as red and green. Tell your child that red is his father and green is his mother. Then place your child between the two colors. Now play a game with your child .Tell your child to look in the direction of your father. If he properly responds,there is no problem with your child and his hearing skill is improved.
Drawing book is a good idea. It must used by your children. It helps in improving their hearing skills. In what way it improves your child's hearing skills? This is explained by an example. Drawing a painting is a very good activity for your children. Suppose that they like to draw a picture of the bird then you have to guide your children on how to draw a picture but do it orally. Your child follows your instruction and continuesr painting. This develops listening skils. Give a brief idea about a bird. How many legs a bird has, color of that bird etc. The child hears your words and draws a picture as per your direction.
