Parental responsibility toward their children.
Introduction.
The responsibility of parenting is extremely hard. Many parents cannot fail to meet their responsibility for a long duration of time. We may refer it as a career in which they are responsible for all around development of their children. This responsibility cannot be compared to any other responsibility in the world. Becoming a parent is really a happy moment to any one. They begin to take care of their children. The father is responsible for providing all necessaries for a newly born baby. But parenting is not so easy as many parents think. It needs lot of sacrifice and devotion. The physical development of the child is not the only responsiblity of parents. Parenting means all around development of children. A child must develop physically, mentally and emotionally. This is known as all round development of a child. We are discussing the issue of responsible parenting.
1. You must encourage your child.
If you encourage your child, his level of confidence will increase. No matter whether the work done by your child is small or big, it is important to encourage your child. This will develop a feeling that they can do anything and this makes your child self dependent. At an early stage of life your child needs your proper guidance. This is common with every child. Guidance should be limited. Excessive guidance can spoil the life of your child. It is a bad move to compare your child with other child. Avoid such type of situation. This will develop a bad feeling in the heart of your children. It will maintain your dignity too.
2. Give your child proper time for learning.
Let your child learn the truth of life. Suppose that your child commits mistakes. Then you have to guide your child. It will help your child to learn an important lesson of life. In what way they can learn a lesson from the mistakes committed by your child? Suppose that your child does something right. Then you have to encourage your child. Just free your child so that he can grow like a common child. Play with your children as possible as you can. During the early age your child may commit many mistakes but you have to control your anger. They might do something special but at that time you have to control your emotions. Take your child on the right path. This might be difficult but not an impossible task. It is not a good idea to scold your child on their mistakes. Make your child feel that this is not a right thing and you have to give up such kinds of mistake. Inspire your child so that he is involved in right activities. Suppose that your child starts doing his own work without the help of another. For that you have to encourage your child.
3. There must be some limitations for your children.
Your child must learn about limitations. Otherwise your child may escape from your control. It is the duty of each and every parent to keep control over children. The limitations set by you cannot be crossed by your children. Suppose that your child demands something that is beyond limit. At that time you have the need to control your child. Discipline must be developed in your children. It makes your child successful. This is necessary because they have to learn the way they ought to talk to elders. This will develop manners in your child. This is very useful for their future life. By this way your child becomes serious and tries to act like a gentleman.
4. You must give proper time to your child.
Suppose that you are busy with your daily routine and both parents do not find enough time for child. You must spend at least one hour of a day with your child. If you are not able to spend even a single hour with your child, this will make your child depressed and he will start misbehaving. It is necessary for any parent to plan some leisure time for children. The best idea is to take your child for outing like Zoo, Garden, Picnic etc. This way, you can easily be in contact with your children. Teenage needs most attention from parents. Be ready to give sufficient time and support to your children.
5. Do something that may inspire your child too.
The child learns most from parents. If they behave badly, their children may follow that path. It is a good idea to set yourself as an example for your children. Try to make your child a good person as well as a good citizen. Try to teach your children the moral value of life. Children who behave properly from the beginning must succeed in their future lives. Groom your children so as to enable them to face all the challenges in their lives. If you perform your task nicely, they become well respected persons in their surrounding.
6. The line of communication needs to be continued.
When your child communicates with his parents without any fear, this will bring happiness in your house. Communication plays an important role in your relationship. If a child shares every kind of secret with his parents, every problem can be solved very easily. Never thrust your opinion on your children. Make free your child so that he can decide what is good and bad for him. You must state proper reason when you stop your children from doing something wrong. If your child is well disciplined at that time, he will easily understand reason for your directions. You must indicate your expectation from children. This is done when your child is a small boy. Make free your child so that he can easily express his feeling to you. Suppose that there is a problem and your child is unable to solve that. At that time teach your children how he can solve this problem.
7. Be soft to your children.
In many cases parents get strict to their children. This might disturb their children in many ways. They begin distancing from your side. Way to implement discipline must change with age. This is because time causes changes in every child. So it is not necessary to become strict. This will develop a bad impact on the mind of your child. Many factors are responsible for that change. You cannot control that change but you can control your way of treating your children. You need to become soft and flexible. This will help you to know the actual condition of your children. Your child may get changed when they attain the age of Fifteen. At that age they start interacting with another person. They like to spend their time more with their friends.
8. If you love your children express your love before children.
If you want to say something to your children then say in a way that looks good. Try to give as much as the love you can give to your children. If you are blaming your children blame in a loving manner. This will develop a stronger relationship between you and your children.
