T he World Anti Doping Agency's(WADA) code is creating a big buzz around in the world of cricket. The ICC(International Crcket Council) is intended to create a dope-free game and thus it has introduced WADA into the game. The WADA code is being followed already in other sports and the players of those sports have agreed upon the code.

But why not the Indian cricket players accepting the WADA code, when their fellow cricket players of other countries and also the other sports persons have? "We need privacy". This is the response of the Indian cricket players and the reason for denying the code.

But how does the WADA code affect thier privacy? Well the code says that the players must report about their whereabouts atleast three months before the start of a new season. And a team from WADA may approach a player at any time for a dope test. No matter where the player is. He has to cooperate with the WADA team.

The Indian cricket players like Yuvraj and other top players feel that they play a lot of cricket a year. Atleast 9 or 10 months a year. When they are off cricket for some time, they need privacy. They need to spend time with their family. Nothing wrong - says the BCCI(Board of Cricketing Council in India). The BCCI backs its players and have decided not to accept the WADA code.

Will the ICC consider to change the rules a bit? Will the Indian players change their minds and go by the rule? Well we have to wait and watch the drama.
