The entire cricketing world is aware of Sachin Tendulkar the genius.  Sachin Tendulkar is not only known for his breathtaking strokeplay, perfect technique and amazing consistency but he is also known for his intelligence on the field of play.  Sachin is known to outwit bowlers and fielding captains through sheer intelligence while at the crease.

However one aspect not known to millions is that Sachin extends his onfield intelligence when is the off the field as well.  Sachin's career planning is excellent and one such aspect has come to the fore in recent times.  In recent times Sachin has been facing a mini crisis in his career.  The problem is that while runs have come at the same amount of consistency in his career Sachin realized that he was falling short of one goal i.e. the target the entire world is looking at it with keen anticipation and i.e. a century of centuries in international centuries.

Any other cricketer would have been content merely to score runs and let things take it own course without trying to push hard but here too Sachin's has been an exception with his intelligence coming to the fore.  Sachin realizing that time is running out  has set a competition within himself by setting a competition between his Test and ODI Centuries.  Sachin probably is trying to make the task simpler by aiming for 50 centuries each in Tests and One Dayers so that it looks more easier for him to achieve.  It is not that Sachin is not capable of reaching 100 centuries but it is a question of reaching there before he himself calls it quits at the peak of his powers without prolonging his career just for the sake of reaching that landmark since has has set very high standards for himself throughout this year.

While Sachin Tendulkar has a total of 93 international centuries i.e. 47 in Tests and 46 in ODIS, he has got 5 first class centuries for India on tour games and 2 List A hundreds on tour games.  That means Sachin Tendulkar already has 100 centuries for India against international teams which indirectly translates to international hundreds.  Apart from this Sachin had also scored a unbeaten double century while playing for Mumbai against a full strength Australian team in 1998. If you take his entire tally of First Class and List A Centuries, then he has 131 centuries, 74 centuries in First Class and 57 centuries in List A

Let us hope Sachin Tendulkar, the pride of India achieves what the entire world is looking for 100 centuries in international cricket.
